1. If you need to kill a chainsawing noob then either shotgun their face off or down them with the hammerburst. Or you could use one of the many other weapons at your disposal such as your smoke grenade.

2. If you dont want to die to a wall/floor mounted frag then either stop going through the doorway next to the grenade room or pay attention to your surroundings.

3. There was no skill in Gears 1. It all boiled down to whoever had an active reload and/or was the host.

1. When a chainsaw noob can run through 4 other players line of fire and chainsaw you, I just don't know what to think.

2. It's not me thats dying from planted grenades, it's the other 2 or 3 randoms I get stuck with in matchmaking.

3. Epic failed miserably at fixing host on Gears 2. Also as a side note many garbage players can't do anything without host, so the bridge host.

4. If you couldn't take the host down on Gears 1 or can't avoid active reloads, you need to be on Gears 2.

Ok first thing, I know how to survive in a match of Gears 2. On the other hand I only play with like 1 or 2 of my friends. The other 2 or 3 randoms usually die within the first 12 seconds of the game. This leaves my team 3v5 or 2v5. On Gears 1 this would be no problem but Gears 2 is a different story. Also the grenades area of effect is astounding. I've been at least 30 feet away from one and my teammate was right next to it and I died. Explain that one. Gears 2 is a $70 frisbee.

Well I definitely agree with you there.  Getting kills on Gears 2 is a little bit harder. The only thing that bugs me is the chainsaw. It is so over powered. Take today for instance. Public Annex on Blood Drive. This scrub ran through 4 guys that were using hammer burst and lancer with his chainsaw revved. He actually got one of my teammates. It's just those things about Gears 2 that really pisses me off. He shouldn't have been able to do that in my opinion.

I will agree that they did a lot of good things with Gears 2. However, they messed a lot up too. I don't like it cause it's so much different than the first one. Another reason being that in Gears 2 there is no way to know if you will play on a good connection.  In Gears 1 I could look up a match and if it brought up a red bar I knew not to go into that room. I can't do that in Gears 2. About 85% of games I get into on Gears 2 are laggy as fuck.
