  • I love the trumpet, but I just got my braces on, so now it's nearly impossible to play, because it hurts too much :(

  • Mate, that is brilliant - well done. I've been trying to do this sort of thing - you do it much better! Also, you just helped me make my 'next mic' decision - b57

  • I can't believe how much the trumpet actually sounds like a tuba when pitched down!

  • do you think i could get the sheet music to this? please e mail to me at calelabarge42@yahoo.com

  • Thx so

  • your an amazing trumpet player!!!!

  • @kaseycutie12

    will you still need me?

will you still feed me? :-)

I love this song, too. Especially this arrangement and this trumpet player.

Greg Ah Sue is THE best!!

  • Gave me chills!

  • some of my friends and i would love to do this, with french horn tuba and trombone, so if you still have it and want to send me the sheet music i would be eternally indebted to you. we're also looking at your arrangement of your office theme song, so that would be helpful too, if you wanted to send it to me

  • Your right, whats to argue about, Theres low G below the staff middle G on 2nd line high G on top of the staff and double high G above that. However I could see how the argument could be made that doubles start on F# above the staff.

  • Hi I wanted to know how you played a trombone sound on a trumpet. If you could do like a how-to video on it, it would be much appreciated:)

  • How's the Shure SM57 for trumpet? Do you think I should get one too because I'm not "shure"(get it :D) if I should get it, I just started recording and I don't know what I should get to record trumpet.

  • Lol, it's great!

Other mics I used started to clip in the upper register...the SM57 does great.

  • Okay, thanks!

  • @TheBig5Brass do u edit ur sound at all because it sounds amazing and i was just wondering wat program you use

  • @TheBig5Brass i just got the sm57, and im having a little trouble with sound quality. How do you hook up your mic to the computer (what cables or adapters do u use)? or do u do something different?

  • is that a strad?

  • Yeah, I am playing a Bach Soloist Stradivarius in this video.

  • You are an amzing and very creative player, and you also seem to be very good at the technical computer stuff, and nice high quality cams too!

  • Thanks!

    It's tons of fun!

  • this is amazing! do u have sheet music?

  • how old are you :|

  • I'm 19, thanks for watching!

  • some guys have too much time on their hands! Nice job - opens lots of training/teaching possibilities... maybe even a market for these videos.

    & so are trumpets

  • Awesome work mate. Think ill subscribe.

  • Sheet Music please? I'd like to do this as a brass ensemble at my school! This is a great song and an awesome arrangement!

  • This is a sweet arrangement. I love it when you pull out your lead trumpet chops and really give it some, you sound fantastic. Nice playing man.

  • Thanks! I appreciate the comment, especially from you...good to see you back on YouTube!

  • cool, you should make a site and post all of these arrangements

  • This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen on youtube! You are a brass genious!!

  • Great, great and great job!

I've seen all you videos, great idea man! Amazing!

    :-)

  • how can i get the sheet music for all the songs uve posted here on youtube? can u message me about this, thanks!

  • Can u send me the sheet music for this please?

  • that was amazing. i play trombone. can i get sheet music?

  • love the vid one suggestion though...u should play louder with the piccolo trumpet so it can pierce through the ensemble but other than that you did very well

  • Thanks for the comment and suggestion...The volumes you hear don't reflect my playing. I mixed this afterwords and adjusted volume as I saw fit, I felt that the piccolo wasn't always the most important thing so I mixed it way down in certain parts. That's just my take on the arrangement.

  • ahh i see

  • I love your sound man! It goes so well with the tune. Fun to watch and listen! Cheers.

  • That G was amazing! Wow your good.

  • Very awesome! I've never heard this song but it sounds awesome. My Mom liked it too.

  • Alright a song from my day! Very well played my friend.

  • how do you do a sixteenth note and also you should make a how to play trumpet video and do a new one every month

  • o my god such a big range how do you hit high notes like that

  • The first trumpet is a piccolo trumpet.

  • Sorry, was*

  • Actually the piccolo is the second trumpet part and only for a section. Also piccolo trumpet doesn't make you play any higher, it just opens the intervals up like in the lower register.

  • Ahh.....never knew that lol. Always that it was easier. Hence the word piccolo made me think it can hit higher and easily.

  • I thought the same thing...lip-wise there is no difference between the two. It's just as hard to play high on both Bb and piccolo trumpet. The difference is the intervals the higher you go the closer the intervals are. This creates the problem of missing notes on fast passages and cracking notes etc....piccolo trumpet combats this by being half the amount of tubing (on the Bb lead pipe) so the intervals are the same as on octave lower on a Bb trumpet. So your highest note on a trumpet is

  • the same as your highest note on trumpet. (As long as you play on the same mouthpiece)

  • I just learned something new today, thanks. Lol.

  • Hey Bud. I believe I can answer your question. Practice, Practice, and more Practice. There is no shortcuts for developing range and endurance.

  • Very nice!

  • BRAVO!!!!

  • Awesome! I play trumpet too!

This and Maxwells silver hammer is my fav beatles song. Great job! Great trumpet tone!

  • I Think I Clicked 4 Stars On Accident But I Ment To Click 5

  • I KNOW THAT GUY!!!! haha

  • This is brilliant, Greg!!!

  • Gregory your music never ceases to make me smile..im still waiting for our duet!

  • this is probably one of my favorites of yours =P

  • Good Job!!

    Hello from Mexico, city!!

  • very impressive sir!

  • LOVE IT @ :45

  • Hey this one is sick. I like that piccolo stuff. sooo tight. you must have worked so hard on perfecting that classical section. But sounds tight. You should try the You Never Give Me Your Money. That would be tight. Well, Keep 'em coming.

  • May I ask what that technique at 2:36 was? It was almost like you hummed into your trumpet for it, but it seemed to smooth for that.

  • All he did was "half-valving." It's pretty self explanatory, but you just hold the valves down half way and kinda just "gliss" up or down to the note.

  • All I did was pushed my valves down half way and buzzed a low g, then slid up two octaves as I put in the new valve combination. Thanks for watching!

  • Nice work mate! one of my favorites so far. Love the plunger action!

  • wow. i like this setting better then the white screen (:

OR you could use the white screen hang-up-thing to put up a bluescreen, so that you could paste yourself in a fancy jazzbar or something like that xD (:
