The devs (they are not Capcom btw) kinda talked their way a bit out of this. Basically this "Dante" is not real, and the game will be happening in some kind of parallel universe (lol) but whatever. Maybe we'll see him transform to a proper version of himself completely (if not - he still will have white hair in DT form).

Dante is being switched from a confident sarcastic hilarious badass to a emo naive bitch. I hope it was just a really bad trailer, and that isn't actually Dante. That's the only thing that would allow me to buy the game. The trailer looked like it should have been called PROTOTYPE 3.

He looks completely negative throughout the entire trailer until he smiles at the camera at the very end...

This Dante looks like he just has short black hair. Don't even need an Origins story! 1) It has been confirmed that the Dew DMC game, takes place in an alternate universe. This game has no serious impact on the other DMC games before it.
2) Everyone needs to calm down. Wait until the game to judge it. I had the chance to play the demo, and to be honest I am extremely satisfied with it. Also watch the new game play. Just because Dante has alterations to him, does no mean he sucks. We are playing the game, not dating him. :/

Hey Capcom, ¿want a good idea for your next Devil May Cry?, ¿what did just happen with Vergil after falling into the hell? We know that he challege Mundus, then he lost the battle and he becomes Nelo Angelo (DMC1)... but, to challenge MUndus he should walk to much around the hell looking for him... so, im talking about a game with Vergil... gonna be epic. I honestly believe there is a reasonable explanantion of why his hair is "black." See unlike most gamers, I give games a chance before I go out in judge and bitch a them. All you got to do is, look at some future gameplay, get some reviews on it, grab some ideas if it's recommended or not and decide on wether buying or not. It's not that hard. No one is really forcing you to buy it or even look at it.
@pantherandgrizzly Most fans of the series aren't shitting on the gameplay aspects. It's the fact the labeled this guy "Dante". They pretty much destroyed this idol image of Dante. I feel they would have been better off making this a stand alone title with nothing to do with DMC. It seems like the just kinda slapped the name "DMC" on it and said "Yeah this is Dante". I mean come on Nero was GOOD like Dante but not the same and if you need a good origin story mix in one for Virgil that shows that he is Nero's father...that would be nice play back and forth between Virgil and Nero. @159caboose Well one theory is that Nero's mother was a Whore believe it or not but I don't know all the details still working on getting the novels that might fill me in on some of it but she could have died during child birth but if that is why Nero wanted power then his is more like Virgil then ever. Because thats why Virgil is looking to make him self stronger. Though Nero more likely wants to keep his Girlfriend safe now lol

1) It has been confirmed that the Dew DMC game, takes place in an alternate universe. This game has no serious impact on the other DMC games before it.
2) Everyone needs to calm down. Wait until the game to judge it. I had the chance to play the demo, and to be honest I am extremely satisfied with it. Also watch the new game play. Just because Dante has alterations to him, does no mean he sucks. We are playing the game, not dating him. :/

We know that he challege Mundus, then he lost the battle and he becomes Nelo Angelo (DMC1)... but, to challenge MUndus he should walk to much around the hell looking for him... so, im talking about a game with Vergil... gonna be epic. I honestly believe there is a reasonable explanantion of why his hair is "black." See unlike most gamers, I give games a chance before I go out in judge and bitch a them. All you got to do is, look at some future gameplay, get some reviews on it, grab some ideas if it's recommended or not and decide on wether buying or not. It's not that hard. No one is really forcing you to buy it or even look at it.

@pantherandgrizzly Most fans of the series aren't shitting on the gameplay aspects. It's the fact the labeled this guy "Dante". They pretty much destroyed this idol image of Dante. I feel they would have been better off making this a stand alone title with nothing to do with DMC. It seems like the just kinda slapped the name "DMC" on it and said "Yeah this is Dante". I know I'm gonna find myself trying out the game eventually, it's just not something I'm playing on release.

@pantherandgrizzly I heard they're rebooting the game all together which...is...why? Why do that to his image? But then I also heard rumors of this game taking place...even BEFORE DMC3. Which some say it's Dante going through that typical "rebellious teen" phase, thus he possibly dyes his hair to avoid being linked with his father. That idea I could accept more. But the reboot? No. I just...no I hope it's not that.

It might just be a DMC2.5. Idk howw they are going to do it but i'm too curious to not buy it. an't wait for it. All DMC fans should play through to find this se what happens.
