I use my Evo X and I get $8,000 a race and it's a Tier 2. I also have used a Gallardo LP560 and still only earned $8,000. Both of my cars are also fully upgraded as well.

You earn money based on what tier you are currently at in the game, not the tier of your car.

The tier system is explained in the opening video of the game.

When you start the game, select the "career" option in the first menu. After this you can select which tier you want to race in. When you first start the game you will only be able to race in tier one. After you get 30 stars you will unlock tier 2. So, if you go to quick race before you have 30 stars, you will only get 2000 for a first place finish. If you have over 30 stars you will get 4000. The more stars you have the more money.

It depends where you are in the story. If you haven't beaten a tier, you will get the amount of money from the tier below.

For example:

If you have not beaten the nfs world tour, but you have beaten tier 4, then you will get $20000. Once you beat the nfs world tour(tier 5) you will get $40000 every time you beat a quick race.

It depends what tier you are on in story ie: how far you have progressed in the story. It has nothing to do with what tier car you are using, just what tier you are in in the story.

if you have beaten tier 5 (aka the nfs world tour) you will get $40000 for coming in first in a quick race.

if you have only completed tier 3 (having unlocked tier 4 but having not unlocked tier 5) you will get $8000 for coming in first in a quick race.
