It was already explained in the movie as to what became Professor X. There was foreshadowing for the outcome when he was having a lecture with his students on the transfer of personalities from dying humans who are still cognitive to coma patients who have lost any hope of awakening. After the credits it's shown that right before he died X implanted his personality into the body of the man laying in the hospital bed. Of course that would mean that man would look nothing like X, so need new actor

I loved x-men comics...and this movie looks incredibly lame. Where are the great x-men villains Apocalypse, Sinister etc? I was hoping they'd do a Madelyn Pryor story next and introduce Nate Summers (Cable) which could incorporate the Four Horsemen and the Marauders as new enemies. The professor, as powerful as he was, would have been able to do exactly that...

Spoiler alert, Wolverine kills her with claws to the torso. though I would not be surprised if this trailer meant Charles and Cyclopse faked their deaths for drama purposes you'd see in comic books. Wolverine needs to be more badass, hell if they want to make him human, make Jubilee his sidekick like in some of the X-men lore(X-men legends had that bit of info if I recall).

its not that bad. The story was too light: didnt believe it was war. More like an argument. The actionscenes were awesome. Nice buildup (music / tension). But like I said: the story: too light. Plus: You dont kill off lead characters this way. It was like: James Marsden has to do Superman...he's got no time. What to do? Oh, I know: we kill his character...

Gotta say: Ratner does know how to direct action scenes. If only we had someone else for the storylines...
