It's rather irresponsible to market a Class IV laser as a light saber... this is not a toy. This thing is incredibly dangerous. Why would any average consumer need such a thing? It should be regulated for scientific and industrial purposes only. Swinging this around for a second in a crowded room would burn and blind.

SINCE THEN, I'VE MADE 30 PHONE CALLS - NEVER GOT AN ANSWERED CALL, AND ALL VOICEMAILS ARE FULL. I'VE EMAILED 10 TIMES. ONE REP TOLD ME IT WAS SHIPPING IMMEDIATELY. I ordered one 6 weeks ago... no follow-up emails, no tracking info. I assume production is slow, demand is high, and regulatory issues exist due to the hazardous potential of this laser. Nonetheless, the company appears to continue to take orders (and payment UPFRONT)... be warned!!! If I don't get mine soon, may consider legal action. BTW, it's $299, not $199 as some posts suggest. And, I wonder if they'll actually ship any more, or just take orders until they're legally shut down.

This hype about the Arctic Series is total bullshit. First of all, I disbelieve that wicked lasers would sell a 1 watt blue laser for a fifth of the price of a half-watt green laser. Second of all, I tried ordering one of these lasers since it's like the deal of the god damn century. Instead I got a message on the website that said something like there was an error processing your order. Thank god they didn't charge my credit card, but now they got my email address and were quick to advertise.

@neilfrost I just got off a live chat with a representative "Colin." Here is the newest information: The newest Arctic laser has a SmartSwitch on it. It is a safety mechanism that keeps it from outputting full power by accident. This model is called the G2. If you want the G1 (no smartswitch) all you have to do is email them. They will send you a G1 today. They are trying to get this safety feature to all their customers, so they are trying to distribute only G2s. G2s will ship in 1-2 weeks.

When i receive my laser then i will apologize !!!!! so far, its been over a month and wicked lasers haven't even shipped them yet, they haven't replied to any of my emails, the telephone number is unobtainable, and poeple are saying its a BIG SCAM!!!!!! No,yes but not in public, it's a class 4 laser, that means its legal to own and use in your home. you need a permit to use it in public though.

Just as a note the laser (the white one) this was compared to in the beginning is the S1 Sonar Lunar, a 200mw output laser, yah the spyder III pro IS that powerful, it eats 200mw lasers.

Didn't notice that, also, are you sure thats all you have to do to get a laser like this legally because theres websites that don't ship to the US due to the fact that its illegal, maybe in australia thats all you have to do but my friend recently bought a 200mw laser shipped to the US seized by customs and he was told it was illegal, that he would get a refund for the laser and that the company that he bought it from would be notified of the law.

I know for a fact it was a red laser pointer with a focusable beam and its maximum output power was 200mw, I have no idea what safety features it had were but it wasn't in comparison to a dragonlasers hulk series laser.

A laser pointer a 12 year old shouldn't have because anything over 5mw is illegal in the US/Australia (not sure about other countries) and this is 1 watt, so you'll probably end up burning youself, someone, or somthing.

You took the words from my mouth, 1 day before I thought it, we have 1 kilowatt lasers, yes, those will cut a 2x4, I doubt anything under 500 watts could cut a 2x4, go watch the 4W laser video in the description and watch the speed at which it cuts electrical tape, thats paper thickness, less than a mm, on a dark object, a 2x3 is 1 and 3/4 inches thick and without stain can only be a dark red, not black, I don't even know if 500 watts could cut a 2x4, even if it was cherry wood.
