vic flick rules! this could have been a brilliant performance ,just needs some attention to detail, have a listen to John Barry's version"un "Beat" able i rest my case.
I could play this song better than Setzer. I love this song and I don't like Brian Setzer doing it. In fact I was playing this long long before he ever heard of it. I guess it's not quite as bad as Jim Carry playing Curly but almost.
go comment on people you do like - brian has quite a core of fans y'know, who like his style. this is a great BS version of beatgirl. you don't have to like it, but then i don't like Beatles version of to know him is to love him.... doesn;'t stop them being the bst rock n roll band in the world does it - lol ]

What I said is still true. I could play it better, and you don't know the greatest R&R band in the world. They're called The Real Kids. They have a few good covers.
Well, probably not, because I play the tune with some soul and some attitude at least. Maybe not as good as the John Barry version. But anybody who thinks that this is in the same ballpark as Vic Flick is just living in a fantasy world.
Don't know anything about your version - I refuse to take your word, so why not stick your version on youtube - but I have to agree, nobody will ever top Vic's original.
In response to 32Deuces question as to what Brian is covering here, it's 'Beat Girl' from the UK 60's film of the same name. It was composed by John Barry, who also did the 'James Bond' theme. A good choice and Brian plays it well!
Wow a really good cover version of the early John Barry classic!
