BUYER BEWARE. Navigon is a dishonest company that has abandoned thousands of customers who purchased GPS devices in the last year. Their Navigon USA (Chicago) site provides no hardware support, map updates or customer support. The sad part is that their GPS was a good product and offered innovative solutions to the industry but without software, map updates & warranty support, the product is useless. Buy from this company at your own risk.

Also, we noticed that direct sunlight will cause the screen to be almost invisible, but with the right angle you should get rid of this nuisance on the go... on an empty street you know, preferably.

Many thanks for the feedback! What also works is to switch the display in night-mode. I have experienced that it helps sometimes.

I just got one of this for my dad.
We tried it out on an unfamiliar road, without ever reading the manual. It is very intuitive, even though I think we should have read the manual at first for better understanding of its multiple features.
The finishing and the screen kind of reflect the light back on your eyes and can be very distracting if you are using it for the first time.
