I'm kind of confused about how directors and producers think in the lines of profit. Because anime has an enormous fanbase, and just the concept of an anime film will attract millions of viewers. So they'd already have more than 50% of their work done just by having the film on contract.
Even outside of the fanbase, there'll be viewers who are interested and regular movie-goers. Imagine how big a Naruto live action that turns out good will be. It'll be in the top 10 cash making films

okay, I want someone to make this movie well, it could be so good if it's done right, first of all the story is Brilliant, that's one of the best things about dragon ball the story and the characters and the way they develop, it should be a little bit scary and a quite violent, in the books, vegeta and piccolo and cell are so scary so the film needs to make them frightening as well, it needs to be as least cartoony as possible...
