  • @1missgiaarbur thank you!

  • 6:03.... burned the SHIT out of her scalp! ouch!!

  • do you blow dry your hair on a cool, or warm setting the day before and do you wrap your hair at night? oh what heat setting is your flat iron?just curious to know i wanna do a length check without killing my hair. Thanks

  • @808758 hi! i usually blow dry my hair on high heat the day before and put it in a ponytail at night and then have the flatiron on its highest (or close to highest) setting... now, after watching dprincess' video, ive begun putting my hair in braids to let it dry and then flat ironing it, ive only done it once and it was still warm out, so im not quite sure how well it works (that and my daughter is stealing my nutrients lol). good luck with your length check! it shouldnt hurt ur hair :)

  • @rosered1585 hmmm ok thanks very much. I will give it try and nice hair by the way.

  • so gorgeous! thnx! <3

  • Dang U Have Got All That Hair!!!

  • You remind me of the Mona Lisa.

  • @kidsnextdoor3 i dont know whether that's a good thing ot bad thing because mona lisa was ugly, she's not >.>

  • CHI IS ONE OF THE TOP BRAND OF FLAT IRONS. I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED ONE. I HAVE NOT USED IT YET. HOPE MY HAIR COMES OUT AS NICE AS YOURS.

  • i'm just recently hearing about the Andis hair care tool line, the pressing comb from the same maker is suppose to work wonders as well. You have naturally gorgeous hair btw!!

  • i like your hair its REALLY pretty and i was wondering is that a CHI flat iron your using?

  • @Cherry123491 thank you! ... no. it's an Andis 2inche ceramic flat iron, ive never heard of CHI???

  • @rosered1585 oh ok :)

  • love your hair!

  • @LaineDidiLina thank you!!!

  • i have the same flat irons and i just used them to straighten my hair they are the best lol ♥♦♥

  • Let me ask you a question, do you trim your ends or just let your hair grow??

  • @cherokiimslm i get them trimmed every few months... i recently had about 2 inches taken off and a layer put in (i wanted it all even, but the hairdresser misunderstood me)... but i try to keep on top of getting it trimmed regularly :)

  • I bought the Andis 1 1/2 inch . Took me 1 1/2 hours LOL :) I'm not use to using a flat iron. It worked well and straightened it but my hair didn't come out flowy and bouncy. Maybe I used to much heat protectant. I don't really know. I had to keep combing it so that it would be smoother and not hard to comb through. The comb still didn't glide through easily. I set it on the highest setting. What setting do you set it on. Should I set it on a lower setting to make the hair bouncy and smoother.

  • @rellww i normally have mine set pretty close to the highest setting. ive never used heat protectant, only doo gro oil, and when i 1st press it, its a little stiff, but as the days go by it gets more softer and bouncy, but i also blowdry straight, which may help make it smoother too... does this help?

  • @rosered1585 Thanks. Maybe it was my heat protectant that made it a bit stiff.I will try using less. I would use the blow dryer but it's dries my hair hour and a hassle to get done. Thanks for the tip though :) I let air dry in big braids or twists. I'll probably start doing rollersets first. I recently pressed my hair again and after tried a silk wrap with Amla oil then I put rollers in and sat under the dryer for 30 minutes for curls and it came out really soft and bouncy and shiny.

  • @rellww ur very welcome! and i agree with it being a hassle lol... but i find that the waviness from the braids doesnt help me get it as straight... a roller set prob would work perfectly because it'll smooth out ur hair more before u straighten it :) glad ur silk wrap came out great! i have yet to try it lol

  • Hi. How long did it take you just to flat iron? I'm thinking about buying an Andis. There is a 1 inch and a 1 1/2 inch. Which size would you recommend. My natural hair(unstretched) lays at the top of my neck. Thanks. Good job by the way :) Your hair looks nice.

  • it usually takes me about 45 minutes tops... i personally recommend the 2 inch because it cuts down on the time, but a smaller one would be easier if you want to curl as you go (I havent gotten around to doing a video for that yet, but I plan too)... thank you for the comment and compliment! good luck!

  • @rosered1585 Thanks :)

  • ohhh no i got out plenty, and guess what that question goes right back at ya dumbass!

  • very pretty hair, gettin my hair thick is one of my goals in going natural, do u put in heat protectant?

  • I actually dont use any heat protectant... the only thing i add is just the hair oil... never really thought of using heat protectant lol

  • i never said ur stupid, i just said wow you need to get out more, because if you open your eyes you will see tons of black girls with long hair, but i guess since your stuck up in your own world you don't see anyone else

  • to username gojapan100:

i cant butt off cause u didnt butt off fm zootsistxaus. her surprise didnt even concern u too. y u gotta tell her to go out more and open her eyes.. i'll butt off when u fkin butt off. so SCRAM!!!

  • no thanks

  • to username gojapan100:

thats all u can say huh? lmao.. what a sore loser..

  • then you need to go out more, there is alot of black women with long hair, its just that chemicals break down our hair. for example i grew my hair for 2 years and now my hair is 42 inches!

  • to username gojaopan100:

how would u no that ZooTsisTxaus dont go out alot.. i mean if she does or doesnt go out a lot she doesnt have staring problems and check out every single black girls out there.. cause in my neighborhood.. if we stare they fking have a fking problem with it.. so this would be my first time seein a black chick with long hair.. now do u have a problem about me seein this chick for the first time? and about chemicals.. its not like black chicks use chemicals all the time

  • but chemicals do kill our hair, anyways why do you care so much about what i said to zootsistxaus? it has nothing to do with you so butt off

  • you're welcome! and thank you! :)

  • yes that is all my own natural hair, there are no chemicals in it at all... thanks for asking :)

  • true

  • coconut oil? im going to have to try that one... thanks!

  • Lovely! Thank you for sharing.

  • Did you put any heat protection in your hair?!

  • ive never tried using heat protection when straightening.. i just use the oil...

  • yu almost look asian...

are yu mixed with it or something?

  • to my knowledge i dont believe i am... both my parents are black, but both sides have other ethnicities in them, so maybe some traits skipped generations? idk

  • will doo gro lotion or the doo gro hair vitalizers revert a press?

  • no i use it ,its perfectly safe.

  • I sat here watching this video wondering how long its going to take my hair to get that long. So far, mine is growing pretty fast (1.5yrs and shoulder length). Yours is beautiful! How long have u been growing it?

  • thank you! ive been natural since 2003 and its always been kinda long (should length when i used to get relaxers), but after al the re;axer was gone it really grew and maintained length... ive been tempted to cut it a few times, but i think i'll just maintain the same length lol

  • hey!! we're on the same page lol...my hair just grows so stupid...a little past shoudler length but the back grows far more quickly than the front for me lol...I love her hair as well and i'll be checking out your hair vids (if any) next lol

  • That's the word! ..And I'll work on that ;)

  • i actually use all doo gro shampoo & conditioner also deep conditioner, and there stimulating grownth oil

i jus wanted to ask u how did u gt ur hair tht long cus i really need help with tht so plz lend an opinion also thns for the video it helped alot and guess wat my hair is soooooo silky and straight thns alot

  • thanks for the comment! i think getting regualr trims helps, and then for me, in the summertime i always get it braided so im not doing too much to it with the heat and humidity... but regular trims def helps and not changing products and doing a whole lot helps as well :)

  • THAT IS SO RUDE.

shes there to show how she flatirons her hair.. not her facial appearance.

    get a life.

  • get a life... seriously... i am beautiful regardless of what u think... obviouslu u have a problem with how u look if all u can do is try to down someone else... have a nice day...

  • thank u... no ones face is cute when they're trying to move their hands and pull hair this way and that way... dude needs a life...

  • My hair is almost like yours. But I donno don't take this in a wrong way but yours seems alittle rougher. Probably because I'm half Asian but thanks for the video it helps alot. ^^ Lily S.

  • ur ethnicity def makes urs softer in many ways... my hair looks and is more smoother in the cooler months, but i did this in the summer, so it frizzed back up quicker... thanks 4 ur comment!

  • the doo gro isnt flammable is it seems kinda dumb to ask but i washed conditioned and now its drying in rollerset i want to flat iron tomorrow but I wanna make sure its ok with doo gro oil

  • the doo gro oil is what i use in my hair, and it has never caught fire... idont kept the heat on it for too long which may help in it not burning... good luck!

  • how often do you straighten your hair??

  • every two weeks during the cooler months when i know humidity wont make it frizz up

  • i like that you only went over once and not multiple times. seemed fast.

  • um im hopin dis wil not b a stupid question.. but I was wondering do you if Indian Hemp Oil could possibly do that. cuz i straightn my harr with it, but it becomes all super greasy. but i never had took the step by step stuff that got ya harr all sexah. So i was curious if Indian Hemp could do the same ass Doo grow

  • ive never used hemp, so i honestly wouldnt know... sorry :(

  • doo gro leave-in gro strenthener is that what's on your hair?

  • yes... the grow oil is what I use :)

  • hey u have a space inbetween ur teeth..its cute

  • what number setting do u hav the iron on/

  • usually the highest, or cloes to highest one...

  • nice hair

    u remind me of

    the mona lisa smile :D

  • nice vid

  • Love your video! Have a question, how did you add the little itunes thing to buy the song that you have playing in the video?

  • youtube automatically does that advertisement to stop copy right infringement

    the artist claimed the music

  • its there automatically if yooh have a song with the vid.

  • i love ur hair looks so nice!

  • nice video, but, um,

you shouldnt put so much grease in your hair, it look very dirty and weighed down, and stiff.

you have very good quality hair, so you should tone down the grase and just put some heat protectant, and maybe a very light serum.

  • thank u for the pointers :)

i havent used grease in years and it nomally turns out better... this was a 'i have an interview and need to do something quick' style LOL

  • You have such beautiful hair. Natural and straight. :)

  • thank you! :o)

  • i'm not biracial... there are other races in my family line, but my parents are both mainly black... lol

what type of iron is it? mine just has numbers on it, not a hair type setting... thats wierd :(

  • your pretty...and your hair is too

  • thank you!

  • your looks fine, I don't get why women straighten. You look great with your natural hair.

  • thank you for the compliment... i straighten mine to get a different look... but it not being permed/relaxed i can easily go back to natural styles... i just like to vary hairsytles :)

  • cool.

  • too try a different look duh

  • she had that.

  • thanks for the comments everyone! im glad my video could help... my andis is so awsome! dont know what i'd do without it lol

  • i have an andis but its a 1inch. it works great!

  • So preety!!! good job, 5 *'s

  • love ur hair very beautiful. Wow I am a long way from ur length but someday i will be at that point and I will definitely do this style very cute. thanks for the vid

  • you lettin the people know you from bmore with all that dru hill in the background? haha

  • you should run a rat tail comb through while you are straightening your hair it helps make your ends as straight as it can get jut a friendly tip ^_^ thnx the video helped :)

  • thanks for the tip! and glad my vid helped :)

  • she looks so ethopian

  • are you mixed with anything

  • umm.... not by my parents directly, no... in my family line there is black, some kind of indian and maybe caucasian... but nothing directly to me lol

  • this is exactly how I straighten mine :P

  • beautiful hair. my hair is the same length but i keep sweating it out while i'm flat ironing it! great video!

  • thank you! ... that's no fun :( maybe having a fan on to cool you off would help? lol idk

  • amazing hair and amazing flat iron

mine is remington flat iron and my hair is just a bit wavy and it never stay straight

    ..

what product u use and u think that really helps to make ur hair straighter?

  • thank you! the only thing I use in my hair when straightening it is DOO GRO hair oil and it will stay straight until I wash it again (or if humidity/weather takes it over lol). I think the amount of time I hold my hair in the iron helps determine how straight it gets... does this help?

  • thank u! i hope urs will be able to stay all the way straight oneday! lol

  • thats no fun! :( if it is cool outside, like no humidity, then it will stay straight until i wash it again, but humidity and moisture will make it revert back... outherwise it's stays nice and straight :)

  • thank you... life is too short to be all that lol... and YES! the wider plates cuts back on soo much time and work! lol :o)

  • I thinking about flat ironing my hair, but I'm afraid of messing up my natural texture. My understanding is that if the hair is not burned during straightening, then it will revert back. Is that true?

  • I can't say that I've heard tha before, but I know that I have been natural since 203 and I straighten my hair often in the winter (and sometimes I do smell it burning a bit on some sections lol), but my hair has always reverted back when water hits it... I have noticed that the pattern may change if I straighten too much, but it is still curly/wavy as ever. I would think if it's burned, the damaged hair would fall out, like split ends? Does this help?

  • pretty rose.

  • wow your hair came out good!!!!

  • thanks!
