a Party System instead of Mario and a bunch of partners or Mario and Luigi (and their allies for the game), of about 3 in combat, made up of of friends and foes (Bowser and Peach) and newcomers (Mallow and Geno) banded together to face a greater threat.

Weapons, armor, abilities like that of other RPGs, explorable environments, more variety in everything is really what im asking.

I'm asking for a more traditional feel, which is why i ask for no Paper Mario since its a Unique feel.

New Super Mario Bros Wii was a great game in terms of gameplay, and co-op was big fun if your partner wasn't retarded and trying to jump a gap at the same time as you are. It may not be original in a lot of other senses, but on the other hand fixing something that isn't broken is dumb. Meanwhile Yahtzee is claiming a game which has essentially the same gameplay, shittier graphics and was made fifteen years ago is somehow better. I don't buy it.
