  • 2 dislikes?? These people are clearly deaf, and lets face blind too :)

  • @ac0us7ic What an unbelievable voice. First heard her a couple of weeks ago on Mike Harding's show. Just beautiful, thanks Mike.

  • Saw Heidi with Hewerdine and Mckusker (apologies to the bassist for forgetting his name) at Tolbooth in Stirling this week, What a great ensemble and a terrific night of music. She sounds even better live than on CD. Go see her if you get the chance. Hope to see her with Kris Drever sometime soon.

  • Saw her (and Boo Hewerdine) at Cambridge Folk Festival this year - definite Festival highlight! She was mesmerising and did a wonderful rendition of "Whispering Grass" if anyone has it, please post it onto YouTube as it was truly wonderful.

'In the window down the meadow,

    a pth of silver moonbeam

    slips through winter snowflakes

    like a dream'

  • wow, thanks a lot! I really appreciate it....

I do agree with you, by far, this is the most beautiful song and voice I've ever heard.

soundsmill, thank you, from the bottom of my heart!!

  • By the way soundmill: I've tried many big stores like HMV etc in Singapore, no one knows who's Heidi Talbot, quite sad actually and I am struggling to get the whole song's lyric out, I am playing guitar and hope to learn to sing this song... thanks

  • Thank you soundsmill for supplying these lyrics to myself and sailbaryo.

I have now included - click "more" to show lyrics.

  • @tomtscotland Do you have the chords 4 this?

  • @saibaryo yeah the music stores in singapore aren'tgreat. can never find any good under-the-radar folk artists like this... :/

  • @saibaryo if you go on play.com they have two albums listed

  • @soundsmill

Can anyone help with the chords?

  • This must be the most beautiful song and performance I've ever heard. I wish I could have been there.

  • Every song she sings becomes her song. If you ever hear her version of "The Bantry Girl's Lament", you will not want to hear anyone else sing it ever again!

  • she got five out opf me--twice i think

  • I Saw her performing live at a small concert in a Borders Cafe New York once. After the concert, I went upto her and told her "You have the most beautiful voice I've ever heard", and it was true.

  • read an article in properganda, now heard her voice, stunning

  • Brilliant - discovered Heidi at Celtic Connections. Great voice.

  • Haunting and beautiful - such a lovely voice!
