Saw Heidi with Hewerdine and Mckusker (apologies to the bassist for forgetting his name) at Tolbooth in Stirling this week, What a great ensemble and a terrific night of music. She sounds even better live than on CD. Go see her if you get the chance. Hope to see her with Kris Drever sometime soon.

This is a song to just close both mouth and eyes and listen to.Rarely do I feel the way I do right now.The part with the two violins is majestic.Thank you tomtscotland!
heidi is playing a gig at my local village hall in october,(unbelievably!). I never heard her before this week, good grief she's an amazing talent. last time i got goosebumps like this was natalie merchant 20 years ago.
Just plain great music....we have the whole album and we all, including our 2 kids just love it! You wish there was more...more albums ;-) more music....
Everyone that has comment is right. This is a beautiful song. Let us not forget who wrote it...SIMON BRUCE. Heidi did a great job singing this song. You also need to hear Simon sing it. It's great.
Saw her (and Boo Hewerdine) at Cambridge Folk Festival this year - definite Festival highlight! She was mesmerising and did a wonderful rendition of "Whispering Grass" if anyone has it, please post it onto YouTube as it was truly wonderful.
Hi there, does anyone out there has this song's lyric? or at least let me know what's in the first sentence of the song, I am not native English speaking person and wish to know more as I really love this song... thanks....
By the way soundmill: I've tried many big stores like HMV etc in Singapore, no one knows who's Heidi Talbot, quite sad actually and I am struggling to get the whole song's lyric out, I am playing guitar and hope to learn to sing this song... thanks
Every song she sings becomes her song. If you ever hear her version of "The Bantry Girl's Lament", you will not want to hear anyone else sing it ever again!
I Saw her performing live at a small concert in a Borders Cafe New York once. After the concert, I went upto her and told her "You have the most beautiful voice I've ever heard", and it was true.
just stunning
