instead of free health that we tax payer will end up paying for...How about they just make insurance affordable.. Do you know americans pay more for their medicines than any other country! Why? because we subsidize so it will be affordable for them.. Its time we take back america for americans. deport the 40 million undocumented aliens reduce imigration to a level to match our economy.bring jobs home and oust those that voted for the NDAA (google it)
Why isn't this dirty, homosexual, illegal, muslim coon, not in jail right now. Even starting with just hi SS # Fraud and morso, he is a Uganda citizen. Throw this porch monkey and his fat, ugly, size 14 shoed wife, michelle in prison also. Rick Wiles explains. Also: Her Name is Miss Ann. I respect James Manning, Paine, Corsi and Atlah, but the rest of the coons can't run a shoeshine stand. When will Hillary send Huma to an early grave?
i know what you meant but, thats a pretty bold statement. too say that just because obama wants to make sure people aren't denied coverage that he's is turning america into a dictatorship. its not like he is taking away are right to vote, hes battling corrupt insurance companies.
I am a 5' troll, and weigh 450 lbs ! I cant wait for health care because I love to EAT and paying bills for my unhealthy lifestyle is getting expensive! It will be so much better when taxpayers pay my bills! (I don't make enough to pay taxes either.)
I mostly eat melted chocolate in a out of a bucket smothered in gravy. I scoop it out using a ladle because a spoon is much to small. Sometimes I use my face instead of a ladle, so I have a bad case of acne. I hope obama care covers a dermatologist
All those poor young useful idiots. They have no conception about how drastically this President has sold their generation into slavery by accelerating this country into a debt hole from which it will never recover. When they're older, and they've been subjected to enormous tax hikes, they won't be screaming about Obama out of adulation.
I can't stand when illegal aliens are called illegal immigrants or undocumented immigrants. That's like calling drug dealers unlicensed pharmacists, or rapists unauthorized gynecologists. When will people realize that illegal's are simply criminals? In fact, they're less than our average criminals, at least drug dealers and rapists are citizens!
Bilderberg PUPPET OBAMA is now calling 'the new world order' "THE INTERNATIONAL ORDER WE SEEK" as are other elites. They changed the name, so we are all safe now.
An international order can't be any threat to our constitution and civil liberties. I wish we had a real human in the white house who would give back the dictatorial powers bush assigned to himself with signing orders, instead of expanding them. The warner defense act say troops can round up "undesirables" meaning dissidents.
@Cashify to understand the philosophy of neomarxism and the council on foreign relations, google IRVING KRISTOL. Obama is just a neocon with a smile and false promises. Lockheed Martin and Boeing are selling weapons all over the world while the middle class vanishes, just as Obama's bosses want. Michelle sat elbow to elbow with their execs on the board of the chicago CFR before hubby was even Senator. ARRANGEMENT? Never back a candidate who gets money from CFR corporate members.
obama ,i come to see what the people like so much an shame that his so quite now..it sure is a small world and even though his his own man,his past/life/surrounding have reflection on him till this day... ties are crossed enough for new lines...i dont like the role some got,but it helped alot of people that was effected...so i say lot of people will get to go home now...you can do the same in your way..hehe lill praise to obama..the man with enough faith for a new world..cudnt done it without ya
"There are three books our Obama-supporting philosopher kings would do well to read and reread many times, so that they may develop some critical thinking skills:"
Golly, I'm so intellectually inadequate. I also read "Atlas shrugged " when I was 20 as well, but wasn't stupid enough to take it seriously.
THOES REPUBLA KLANS ARE STILL SHOWING THAT RACISIAM IS ALIVE AND WORKING IN AGINST ARE PRES THEY STILL TRYING TO HANG THE BLACKMAN AND DICK CHANEY HE IS A WILLIE LYNCH HE HATE BLACKS
Hey Mr Prezz, you now admit there are no such thing as 'shovel-ready' jobs. Are there 'green' jobs that are supposed to transform America? We find out that many seniors will pay more because of Obamacare. The econ team you started with is no longer in the WH and you have a new chief of staff-- a lot of change with no hope.
"Proper" and self-ordained Ad Agencies here in NYC have claimed that President Obama would never be linked with notorious cableTv Pick-Up King Ugly George; but here he is. Did Mark Rozell make a grievious error here, linking George Mason U. with UG? tsk tsk
According to the Book of Revelations and the book of Daniel and others tell us The anti-christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuassive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal.... the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destory everything. Is it OBAMA?
@SuperLightofTruth TOO Bad a black man who has been classified as a muslim, not born in this country and the anti-christ is now in power. Un believable that many still perceive in this way. He is trying to save us from an abusive and intelligible man from the last 8 years. I still support Obama.
"The true theory of our Constitution is surely the wisest and best, that the States are independent as to everything within themselves, and united as to everything respecting foreign nations. Let the General(Fed) Government be reduced to foreign concerns only,...may[It] be reduced to a very simple organization and a very 'unexpensive' one; a few plain duties to be performed by a few servants."
Thomas Jefferson to Gideon Granger, 1800 -Centralization would lead to despotism-
Sheep being herded to the slaughter house of "SOCIAL JUSTICE"...Learn from history my friends...it should never be left to just a few to decide what social justice is, social justice starts at home, that was why we broke from Britian, just read our Declaration of Independence, there is a reason this is the preamble to our Constitution.
All you idiots the worhips this dumb ass as GOD and are not getting any of your "Free" Healthcare?? LOL what did you really expect....now I'm just going to sit back and wait the the mobs to want to take him down.....it's coming barry....you screwed up
I have news for you republitard Americans: Barack Obama owns your candy asses now. So shut up and take your medicine the way the Man tells you. Fuck you dickwads! Consider yourselves communized. Have a nice day! Yes We Can! LOL
Hey everybody, look at the Obama/Pelosi health reform mobile" from underneath: this new health care vehicle has "big brother" and "yes we can" stamped on every working part, and it runs on "OPM" (other people's money). and the IRS has the keys. It's already spewing blue smoke, and no left-wing politician was willing to lift the hood (or bothered reading the 2,000-page owner's manual) before it left the lot . Great.
John Adams said, "A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever." The government takeover of our health care system has brought about the death of the principles that were the foundation of the ratification of our Constitution. Along with this comes the death of liberty and the end of national wellbeing and happiness. Result will be removal o consent of the governed and the consummation of the desolation of our nation.
So now that we know how rights work in the lollaland of the Left, where the hell's my gun? Deliver my guns and ammo to me now! I demand the government provide me with a high-quality firearm. If rights are really just communized privileges...
If you have a right to something, you own it and are responsible for it. You're responsible for your body because you own the right to it. Nobody else is responsible for your body. You don't need to ask permission from anybody to exercise a right. If somebody temporarily grants something to you, it's not a right. It's a privilege. Obama's setting up a system where you have to ask Obama, or one of his stooges, for permission to maintain your body as you see fit. He's violating our rights.
We deny six-year-olds the right to carry guns. We deny rights to people who don't have the mental capacity to understand responsibilities that go with those rights. A six-year-old is not smart enough to be able to exercise the right to own a gun responsibly. What does Barack think of your mental capacity to maintain your health responsibly? Review usdebtclock(org) and reconsider whether the Federal Government should be the judge when it comes to responsibility.
I apprehend no critical danger to our country from a foreign foe. Our destruction will be from another quarter. From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence, I do apprehend danger. I fear they place too implicit a confidence in their public servants, and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct; that in this way they may be made the dupes of designing men, and become the instruments of their own undoing.
And since they don't even have to put quarters into the voting machine, ACORN O-bots can vote over and over again, all election-day long to "win" their free health care.
For O-bots, it's not about people getting their MRIs before it's too late. It's about how O-bots feel about other people. Tell them that dogs can get their MRIs next-day while people have 6-8week waiting lists in socialist Canada, and O-bots are ok with it, because at least nobody's getting rich off people in Canada. They feel good about that. O-bots must approve of the motivations of other people. Once O-bots are in charge, results don't matter anymore. Bad results then are swept under the rug.
@grexample peopple may have to wait 6-8 weeks for there mris but at least people dont go bankrupt with medical bills what about the little man who cuts youre lawn who make s the food you eat who gets you youre starbucks i hope you drown in youre greed sir
@lucasaburns >>what about the little man who cuts youre lawn...<<
Not to speak for grexample, but that little man walks away with my cash every time. So do the ones that make the food I eat. The little guy at starbucks also gets my money, which I earned, before he'll give me his coffee. What of those little men? Greed is wanting what you haven't earned. Who's demanding what they haven't earned? Grexample? No, it's a lot of those "little men" of whom you speak with such ignorance.
A lot of people live stupid lifestyles that take a big toll on their health. I have no control over how those people behave. Why should my hard-earned dollars be stolen from me and my offspring to subsidize the stupid, irresponsible behavior of strangers and puff-up the egos of some pretentious Leftists? Where's the morality in that? I know best what kind of charity I can afford. How dare you promote a system where that discretion is denied me. That is my right!!
@grexample very good point. i dont think one person should have to pay for another persons poor lifestyle. but what about people who have pre existing disabilities, like children and seniors who cant afford health care, who are not necessarily a "slacker" but are people who are born less fortunate. everyone needs to stop thinking about themselves and start looking at the bigger picture. if i had to help 100 people and only 1 person really needed that help, than it was worth it to me.
@Easybakeevann >>if i had to help 100 people and only 1 person really needed that help, than it was worth it to me<<
Maybe you can afford that. Others can't. Why should they be denied the same discretion you want to exercise? Because you know better? Are you a wannabe dictator? Yours is a tribal mentality. What if you could help more people in other ways if you weren't forced to "help" in the way dictated to you by a corrupt higher authority? You assume only government can help people?
Think about what you said; your use of the word "had". Who would be making you help who? By what authority? Who the hell has a right to order you around and force you to give your money to somebody else? If "had" to help 100 people, it would be so that those 100 people would reelect whoever it was in power forcing me to give my money to them. That authority would lose my one vote and gain 100 votes--at my expense. That's corrupt!
The American system of constitutional government is indeed superior to all other extant forms of government, in that it is founded on the sanctity of individual liberty. All other forms of government--including the kind Obama is trying to create in America--are about bowing down to elitist busybodies who pretend to purvey cosmic justice in exchange for our individual liberty. It is not within the capacity of human beings--no matter how big their egos--to administer cosmic justice.
O-bots are laughably wrong about everything, so they're freakin' scary when they seize power. Jefferson asserts "all men are created equal" simply to refute England's doctrine that some men are anointed by God to be kings, and what does the O-bot do? He misinterprets it to mean that the natural result of the unequal productivity of people in a free market is a moral problem which can only be solved by relinquishing our freedom to people anointed by supreme intelligence and virtue. WHAT DOOFUSES!
@grexample You're wrong, grex. O-bots are right about one thing: They're outraged and angry at other people and feel good about themselves. They're experts on their feelings. XD
Oh yeah, jackass? Well President Obama's supporters are right about another thing: Republitards don't give a damn about our feelings. You cold bastards are like my old boyfriend. He didn't care how I felt about what he and his friends did to me. As long as they got their kicks at my expense, everything was great as far as he cared. I'm so glad finally we have a president who cares. Yes We Can!
The far left CNN poll showed that 59% of Americans oppose this monster bill. The CBS poll says that 76% of Americans disapprove of how Congress is handling its job on health care.
@rebelharvester "It would be interesting to find out how many conservatives versus how many liberals are on this forum since the likes and dislikes seem to be based upon political persuasion."
What an amazing realization you've just had.
Out of 7610 views, 73 people bothered to rate this video favorably, 53 voted the opposite, for a total of 126.
Percentage-wise that = 1.7% of viewers bothering to rate this video. Fewer than 2 out of 100 respond.
It would be interesting to find out how many conservatives versus how many liberals are on this forum since the likes and dislikes seem to be based upon political persuasion.
This "victory" of passing the current (and still largely mysterious) health care legislation is going to be a Pyrrhic one for the Democrats.
The updated version of the U.S. health care reform bill was posted online 72 HOURS prior to the vote.
WTF??? What's the mad freaking rush? They twisted arms, made back room deals, and might as well have used toilet plungers to cram this crap bill into place.
Piss off Washington! Someone should say this to your collective faces.
There are three books our Obama-supporting philosopher kings would do well to read and reread many times, so that they may develop some critical thinking skills:
A Conflict of Visions
The Vision of the Anointed: Self-congratulation as a basis for social policy
Intellectuals and Society
---all by Dr. Thomas Sowell, who is a giant among men.
@grexample Obama inherited a country that was fucked up beyond belief; go ahead and tell me I'm making excuses. Did you know the top income tax bracket was 87% during the Eisenhower Administration? I imagine that this man would be quite frightening if you didn't agree with him. He gives the illusion that something might actually be done, but he simply doesn't have that power. At this point, it would take a Hitler type to do that (not Bush, but he tried). I don't think he's the one.
Great speech, to bad its not gonna happen. He's not as crazy as bush, we all know that, but we all know that there's more behind the throne then the king himself.. our generation will be the revolution, we're the ones who will take the big evil instutions DOWN!
For all it's faults our health care system is one of the best in the world. However, I do believe that there is change needed. I just don't believe that the gov't should do it. For one, it will cost billions of dollars that CAN'T be paid back. There is no authority given to Congress to make such a law under the Constitution. These are politicians we're are talking about, not doctors. They have no experience in the medical field and therefore have no authority to make such decisions.
democracy was founded on the great principle that every1 should be equal. So was Socialism If we use terms to describe our intentions we skew our view of the entire picture. What is the goal of a government. What is the goal of healthcare an why is there a need for insurance? These are the core issues at the heart of any discussion about this bill. If a consensus cannot be reached relating to these core issues then debate will rage on forever.
@rebelharvester Your view is skewed no matter what words you use ;-) Democracy was founded on the principle that everybody gets a vote. That's it. I'm of the opinion now that only people who pay taxes should get a vote. You're right about one thing, though. The Democrats are launching a war on the free people of this country that will never end until their reign and their programs are destroyed. The sooner the better.
Yes, all men are created equal, but by the time they're of voting age, they've become very diverse. Look around you! Jefferson saw this diversity as well, which is why your inference is fallacious. Jefferson wasn't projecting a utopian vision of equal results forward from birth. He was refuting the dogma of the Divine Right of Kings; that some men are anointed by God to lead nations, while most are not. He was rejecting the government tyranny of his day. Turn the telescope around, O-bot!
Democracy was founded on the idea of equal opportunity, not equal outcome. That's the difference between the two. It's two opposite ends of the spectrum.
@qpwillie Are you saying that equal opportunity exists within the structure of the healthcare system such that everyone has the same "opportunity" to access healthcare?
Your word games are somewhat less clever than you believe, I haven't and won't spend a lot of time arguing with you. We're never going to wind up in the same place because of your failure to recognize American exceptionalism.
@qpwillie American exceptional-ism comes from the people who make progress not impede it because of some profit sharing initiative. The noble idea of what America stands for is the perfection that all countries should strive for. But an idea is far from an implementation. I don't play word games. I am just trying to understand what you mean. Communication is never clear. Maybe you have a different idea in your head and you have difficulty with getting that message to me. Maybe vice versa...
@qpwillie the 2 comments are not in alignment first off... the first clearly defines the way in which people are classed and qualified to receive benefits and resources. According to his needs... the second is a very vague statement that specifies nothing of the sort. He says that every1should have wealth.... the word that clearly stands out is everybody... I agree that every man should be considered equal as the declaration of independence so clearly states. Correct me if i'm wrong.
No, the equal opportunity is of being able to persuade somebody to work for you. That's not to say equal ability to persuade. Equal opportunity. Go up there and ask them to help you! But they are not your slave and you will have to persuade them to give you their labor. Two people having different persuasive skill sets can at the same time have equal opportunity to apply their skills to get something. One might succeed and the other might fail, but they both had their opportunity to persuade.
one may have the equal opportunity to persuade someone but should he take advantage of it. If I could persuade you to give me all your food then have I deprived you of your basic human need to eat? You said it, and rightly so, they are not your slave. If someone should use their talents to deprive another person then they have committed an offense. If they have deprived some1of their basic human need to eat then it is a crime. By depriving people of healthcare we have also committed such a crime
What fool gives away his only stash of food for nothing? If you want a world where stupid behavior's rare, then promote a system where the cost of stupid behavior is paid by the stupid people themselves. That reduces the inclination to be stupid. If taxpayers are made to pay for the stupidity of others, then stupidity can bring down society, as was seen in the politically-driven mortage market that led to our current economic state. Pay the price for your own stupidity and leave me alone.
@rebelharvester A lot of people live stupid lifestyles that take a big toll on their health. I have no control over how those people behave. Why should my hard-earned dollars be stolen from me and my offspring to subsidize the stupid, irresponsible behavior of strangers? Where's the morality in that? I know best what kind of charity I can afford. How dare you promote a system where that discretion is denied me. That is my right!!
In typically liberal fashion, you've erroneously extrapolated some foolish, utopian nonsense from one phrase in the Declaration of Independence. That phrase, "that all men are created equal" does not contradict the obvious fact that all men, after creation, go on to become very unequal. Rather, the phrase refutes the King of England's justification for his hold on power; that the king was anointed by God at creation, while the rest of the people were not.
But so long as people like you can be so foolishly deceived concerning critical points like this in our founding documents, Barack hangs onto the HOPE of being considered the first American president anointed by God himself.
@grexample I have made a mistake in calling you a white supremacist and attacking your ability to understand that you were brainwashed. I do not want to sink into calling people conservative and liberal and a loser and stupid and o-bot or attacking your religion or where your from or any of those things. If your point makes sense it makes sense if it doesnt it doesnt. Thers no point to classing someone's ideas because by doing that we dont actually listen to them.
@rebelharvester You should call me an American conservative. That label applies to me, properly understood. I understand, believe in and expound the virtues of the philosophy underlying The United States Constitution, which is the single most successful progressive social experiment in the history of mankind. I am an American conservative.
@grexample So that would mean that you are something like an American supremacist then? I am not sure that the only reason America is successful is because of the constitution. Americans work a darn side harder than many other countries. Plus thers the whole American dream thing where we sell the idea that America is filled with lush pastures and glamorous life. Making all the gullible people leave their home countries to come work for us with our superior ability to persuade.
Fleeing tyranny/communism/strife/famine/poverty and coming to America = "gullible? Really? You speak as if you have no basis for comparison; you probably believeeveryone everywhere has it this good, and that we Americans only imagine (thru capitalistic propaganda) that we enjoy a superior standard of living.
Oh wait, we only have a "superior ability to persuade"...right.
You also act like only the lowest social rungs come here for citizenship, and only because theyve been duped.
Baloney. Explain why most of our engineering grad students come from China, India, and other areas of the world, and many of them dont go back. Why are so many of our physicians from India, for instance? Think about it.
@idlepink17 I support your comment. my dad being a world war 2 veteran fought against the imperial japanese being an electrical engineer took us to the U.S. to get out of another DICTATORSHIP under ferdinand marcus, 40 yrs later being a gulf war and iraq vet, and my brother a vietnam veteran, DEMONcrats turning into another communist dictatorship? HELL NO, we will fight. The morons spit on those of us who left dictatorship to be free. Ask the CUBANS, russians, german americans etc?
"I understand, believe in and expound the virtues of the philosophy underlying The United States Constitution, which is the single most successful progressive social experiment in the history of mankind. "
Not in this country they don't. They believe in theocracy and mixing it with little bits and pieces of "atlas shrugged" when it suits them to do so!
Classifying ideas is critical to understanding big concepts. This is very commonly understood in computer programming, where object-oriented programming suddenly made it possible for much larger, more complex programs to be written by single programmer. Now, if you want to say that we should be sure we have sound reason to classify ideas, I don't disagree.
@grexample That is exactly what i'm saying. What in your mind is conservative vs liberal? And does some1 that has one liberal view or one conservative view does that mean that the person is liberal or conservative? To me development is a changing of ideas towards progression. Some people may call that liberal. But then the opposite means that conservatives are backward and non-progressive thinking. No1should be grouped according to their thinking because no2pple think totally alike.
No 2 dogs are totally alike, but quixotic crusades against the labelling of certain animals as dogs is not very productive. As for the confused person, if they tend to bury the specifics of their policy preferences in a vast generality, so diffuse that no one can effectively oppose it, they are liberal. For example, if they say they are for "change" so as to imply that any opponent opposed to specific changes they advocate must be against change, as such, then they are liberals. You're liberal.
@grexample I disagree. I acknowledge the fact that perfection does not exist in practicality, but I think we must always strive towards it. I think that true freedom can never be attained because it will always infringe upon someone else's vision of what freedom is. Just because I have lofty an unattainable ideals does not make them diffuse. Would you call a scientist mad because he searches for the unanswerable question or the answer to everything? I'm sure Mr Hawkins might take offense...
I'd call a scientist mad who seized control of my body via government and proceeded to use me as a guinea pig against my will to act out his neurotic fantasies. Barack Obama is a mad scientist. Pelosi exempted herself from participation in this sick experiment. The Constitution's designed to keep the lives of the American people out of the hands of mad scientists. Discretion over issues related to medicine ought to be left to free people, since they possess the most knowledge about it anyway.
Distaste for labels is classic liberalism. Liberals exalt themselves as these profoundly complex intellectuals beyond the comprehension of mere mortals. They think some profundity beyond description they embody qualifies them to set about remaking entire societies through government. They're the anointed ones. Imagine having to relate to a veterinarian over the phone an emergency situation you were having with your dog, but you insist no labels be used. It'd be difficult for the vet to help you.
@grexample My first claim was that I am not the brightest bulb... I do not know everything and never will.. My set parameters of what I consider to be equality and freedom have yet to be attained by any system. That is not profound thats just plain common sense. I do not choose to accept that I have to live a life that I must suffer because the system is inadequate. I believe in changing the system. If it doesnt work for 1 it doesnt work.
Your whole concept of the virtue of equality is built on a fallacy derived from a phrase you misunderstood in the Declaration. You've integrated this fallacy into your thinking, building a philosophical cathedral on a quagmire. There's only one sense in which equality is a virtue: No man is entitled to partake of the labor of his fellow man--they are not his slaves--without committing himself to serving his fellow man to an EQUAL degree in return. Free markets best determine the value of labor.
That's a flailing remark. You are the one who presented the Declaration as a bible. I only explained the fundamental absurdity at the core of your interpretation. People can never be equal in a fair world because you can't make people help each other to an equal degree. It's inherently unfair that one man should be more productive--help his fellow man more--and end up with the same standard of living as a man kicking stones around a parking lot all day, every day.
I myself have no tolerance for a philosophy that's centered around the sick obsession of having some pack of intellectuals adjusting my individual liberties until they come up with a system that works for fucking Charlie Manson. What a bunch of bullshit Obama and his flock of flying monkeys like you are!
For instance, you might have bigoted notions about American conservatives, in which case you shouldn't yet call me one until you really understand what it means to be conservative in America.
@grexample My translation has more to do with the UN charter on Human rights than the translation of the Declaration of independence. Unless you consider America to be not only the best country in the world but the only country in the world that does anything right? If that is the message that conservatives are sending to the rest of the world I can understand why the world has a problem with us.
But that charter's the ultimate cathedral on the very same quagmire you built your philosophy on. You inherited your misunderstanding of equality from Woodrow Wilson, who also misinterpreted the Declaration. This liberal thing goes back to before the League of Nations but Wilson's screw-up was transplanted into the heart of the UN. The UN's just the latest monumental manifestation of the liberal, utopian ego trip and it works as well as a daydream.
Actually I give the UN way too much credit to say it works as well as a daydream. The UN does incredible harm in the world with the envy and sense of entitlement it promotes. These are incredibly destructive sentiments, far more desctructive than greed for how they disincentivize poorer people from cooperating with and learning from more successful people. Instead, they inspire poorer people to hate more successful people and resist changing their own behavior which keeps them poor.
Funny how the low life losers that voted the idiot in office still cant tell you what change he will make. I guess thats only because his votes came mostly from welfare losers that cant even read.
@JustBoredEnough I hate to do this... cause im not an Obama supporter but there is one change that I can say he has already made. He brought back a sense of dignity to the office of the President internationally. From a shoe to a red carpet... a real one not just the symbolic one. or the other way around I should say. I prefer not to insult someone who cannot read because I am sure that somewhere in my family's past some1could not read... however distant that might be.
I hate this arrogant little pussy-ass government-expanding, Constitution-raping, economy-razing bitch. He's Bush x1,000,000. He's within hours of fucking up the country with his government-sanctioned healthcare overhaul. He's currently in the process of potentially fucking up this country and the economy beyond all reproach by having the government offer us an inferior, exponentially more expensive form of healthcare coverage.
I know the flames I've just subjected myself to by posting this.
Well, I see all those sleazy back room deals and bribes are still in the bill. If the bill is so great, why did they have to use bribes and then lie about taking them out in order to get votes.
The only thing we want to help you finish is your term! Please put America in ruins before you go! 80% of America is against this plan and still this street nigger fights it. Typical, thats why we have so many ghettos! Learn to listen and grow from it instead of fighting all the time.
Congressional Democrats need to PROVE that gov't-run health care, managed from top to bottom by Washington, is cheaper, more efficient, and worth saddling the taxpayers with over privately run alternatives.
They haven't provided evidence that socialized care is the best alternative.
If they want to change the current system entirely to one that is arguably the health care equivalent of "food stamps for everybody" then they need to demonstrate the merits of such a drastic, draconian change.
"Spkr Pelosi has scheduled a House of Reps vote today on the health care reform plan proposed by the Pres. Obama and congressional Democrats. Yet...in Congress there has been months of posturing and shifting of political tactics, voter attitudes have remained constant: A majority oppose the plan being considered by the legislators, [latest poll] taken Fri and Sat nights, shows that 41% of likely voters favor the health care plan. Fifty-four percent (54%) are opposed."
I wonder what kind of stupid, uneducated idiot would play the race card because somebody disagrees with a president. .... Oh - Never mind - I know the answer to that.
No doubt it's the same kind of stupid, uneducated idiot who thinks the nation is on the brink of being destroyed just because the President doesn't agree with him. Albeit with a hearty dose of crazy added.
@qpwillie I applaud objecting to someone else's views. What I abhor is the notion that som1is predisposed by their ideas to have a common modus operandi.Just because som1says he did a great thing doesnt mean they agree with everything he did does and ever will do.grexample acknowledges the fact that by bringing up the argument Obama has done more than has been done in the last 4 decades in the arena. That is objectivity.... using the word o-bot is not objective...som1 might call him an o-bot too
@qpwillie The anti-Obama sentiment was initiated because of the race card. I was highlighting the irony of him using the word o-bot to class an idea by calling him indirectly a white supremacist because of his views about the people who support Obama. To make a sweeping generalization like that is counterproductive. I agree with the fact that we need more dialog, however it was a sort of authoritarian implementation of programs that got America out of the great depression.food for thought...
@qpwillie I am not saying that the end justifies the means. What I am saying however is that no1knows for sure what will work. Maybe one man's vision might be better than 10's opposition because he had the foresight. Perhaps he knew what the root of the problem was. "It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried." Sir Winston Churchill. When solving problems, dig at the roots instead of just hacking at the leaves. Anthony J. D'Angelo
Obama's not digging or hacking. He's feeding the weed of socialism. In "Sick in America", Stossel illustrates very clearly the evil of socialism in medicine right in the heart of Canada. If you need an MRI, there's a 6--8 week waiting period...unless it's for your dog, in which case they can get you in the next day. That's because veterinarian care isn't socialized in Canada, so supply is allowed to meet demand. It's as clear as East-Berlin-West-Berlin. I hope you'll check out those videos.
@grexample Im not equating the availability of healthcare with a socialist healthcare system.I am saying that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to access healthcare. If that fundamental right is denied to one person then there is an issue.Maybe its easier to get care for pets because there are less of em?Or maybe its just that there are still faults with the system.Perhaps the American think tank could somehow find a way to iron out all the little kinks. After all we are better at that right?
You liberals think most knowledge is concentrated among elites so you look for just the right group of people to decide things for everybody; but in actuality knowledge is widely dispersed throughout the population. Free markets keeps decision-making power in the hands of the people with the most knowledge; everybody. Socialism removes discretion from the locus of the most knowledge and concentrates it in the hands of a few, who have less than 1% of all critical knowledge.
re:MRIs for Candian dogs: Or maybe capitalism works and socialism doesn't. Would you ever consider the possibility that your vision is wrong? Why must reality always be changed and not your vision? Why must people be arranged forcibly by government until they fall into statistical patterns in accord with some vision you mulishly adhere to? Why are the rest of us your pawns? Leave us alone! It's a harmful vision because it finds its way into government. Please correct your vision!
Gag.

According to CBO gov, GAO gov, OCC treas gov, the healthcare debt will exceed $50 Trillion.
1) Healthcare debt $50 Trillion
2) Annual Interest payment 2% = $2.5 Trillion
3) Obama Savings $14 Billion per year ($140 Billion over 10 years)
Last week the interest in the bond market went up 1/4 of 1% (0.25%) and wiped out the entire 10 yrs of Obama Savings.
$50 Trillion x 0.25% = $125 Billion per year.
One week excess Gov spending wiped out 10 years of Obama savings!

He's violating our rights.
grexample 1 year ago

They have no experience in the medical field and therefore have no authority to make such decisions.
deltaeagleforce 1 year ago
democracy was founded on the great principle that every1 should be equal. So was Socialism If we use terms to describe our intentions we skew our view of the entire picture. What is the goal of a government. What is the goal of healthcare an why is there a need for insurance? These are the core issues at the heart of any discussion about this bill. If a consensus cannot be reached relating to these core issues then debate will rage on forever.
rebelharvester 1 year ago
@rebelharvester Your view is skewed no matter what words you use ;-) Democracy was founded on the principle that everybody gets a vote. That's it. I'm of the opinion now that only people who pay taxes should get a vote. You're right about one thing, though. The Democrats are launching a war on the free people of this country that will never end until their reign and their programs are destroyed. The sooner the better.
grexample 1 year ago
@grexample Since Jefferson's words seem applicable "All men are created equal".... not all men who pay taxes are considered equal...
rebelharvester 1 year ago
Yes, all men are created equal, but by the time they're of voting age, they've become very diverse. Look around you! Jefferson saw this diversity as well, which is why your inference is fallacious. Jefferson wasn't projecting a utopian vision of equal results forward from birth. He was refuting the dogma of the Divine Right of Kings; that some men are anointed by God to lead nations, while most are not. He was rejecting the government tyranny of his day. Turn the telescope around, O-bot!

Your philosophy is clearly in agreement with the following two quotes:

"I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."....Barrack Obama - 2008
qpwillie 1 year ago

One might succeed and the other might fail, but they both had their opportunity to persuade.
grexample 1 year ago 17
one may have the equal opportunity to persuade someone but should he take advantage of it. If I could persuade you to give me all your food then have I deprived you of your basic human need to eat? You said it, and rightly so, they are not your slave. If someone should use their talents to deprive another person then they have committed an offense. If they have deprived some1of their basic human need to eat then it is a crime. By depriving people of healthcare we have also committed such a crime
rebelharvester 1 year ago
What fool gives away his only stash of food for nothing? If you want a world where stupid behavior's rare, then promote a system where the cost of stupid behavior is paid by the stupid people themselves. That reduces the inclination to be stupid. If taxpayers are made to pay for the stupidity of others, then stupidity can bring down society, as was seen in the politically-driven mortage market that led to our current economic state. Pay the price for your own stupidity and leave me alone.

In typically liberal fashion, you've erroneously extrapolated some foolish, utopian nonsense from one phrase in the Declaration of Independence. That phrase, "that all men are created equal" does not contradict the obvious fact that all men, after creation, go on to become very unequal. Rather, the phrase refutes the King of England's justification for his hold on power; that the king was anointed by God at creation, while the rest of the people were not.
grexample 1 year ago 22
But so long as people like you can be so foolishly deceived concerning critical points like this in our founding documents, Barack hangs onto the HOPE of being considered the first American president anointed by God himself.

@grexample I have made a mistake in calling you a white supremacist and attacking your ability to understand that you were brainwashed. I do not want to sink into calling people conservative and liberal and a loser and stupid and o-bot or attacking your religion or where your from or any of those things. If your point makes sense it makes sense if it doesnt it doesnt. Thers no point to classing someone's ideas because by doing that we dont actually listen to them.
rebelharvester 1 year ago 13
@rebelharvester You should call me an American conservative. That label applies to me, properly understood. I understand, believe in and expound the virtues of the philosophy underlying The United States Constitution, which is the single most successful progressive social experiment in the history of mankind. I am an American conservative.
grexample 1 year ago 13
@grexample So that would mean that you are something like an American supremacist then? I am not sure that the only reason America is successful is because of the constitution. Americans work a darn side harder than many other countries. Plus thers the whole American dream thing where we sell the idea that America is filled with lush pastures and glamorous life. Making all the gullible people leave their home countries to come work for us with our superior ability to persuade.
rebelharvester 1 year ago
@rebelharvester
You have mixed some obvious points (Americans work a darn side harder) with some BS ones ("...all the gullible people leave their home countries...")
That latter portion falls into the BS comment category.
idlepink17 1 year ago
@rebelharvester

Baloney. Explain why most of our engineering grad students come from China, India, and other areas of the world, and many of them dont go back. Why are so many of our physicians from India, for instance? Think about it.

Now, if you want to say that we should be sure we have sound reason to classify ideas, I don't disagree.
grexample 1 year ago
@grexample That is exactly what i'm saying. What in your mind is conservative vs liberal? And does some1 that has one liberal view or one conservative view does that mean that the person is liberal or conservative? To me development is a changing of ideas towards progression. Some people may call that liberal. But then the opposite means that conservatives are backward and non-progressive thinking. No1should be grouped according to their thinking because no2pple think totally alike.
rebelharvester 1 year ago
No 2 dogs are totally alike, but quixotic crusades against the labelling of certain animals as dogs is not very productive. As for the confused person, if they tend to bury the specifics of their policy preferences in a vast generality, so diffuse that no one can effectively oppose it, they are liberal. For example, if they say they are for "change" so as to imply that any opponent opposed to specific changes they advocate must be against change, as such, then they are liberals. You're liberal.
grexample 1 year ago
@grexample I disagree. I acknowledge the fact that perfection does not exist in practicality, but I think we must always strive towards it. I think that true freedom can never be attained because it will always infringe upon someone else's vision of what freedom is. Just because I have lofty an unattainable ideals does not make them diffuse. Would you call a scientist mad because he searches for the unanswerable question or the answer to everything? I'm sure Mr Hawkins might take offense...
rebelharvester 1 year ago

It'd be difficult for the vet to help you.
grexample 1 year ago 16
@grexample My first claim was that I am not the brightest bulb... I do not know everything and never will.. My set parameters of what I consider to be equality and freedom have yet to be attained by any system. That is not profound thats just plain common sense. I do not choose to accept that I have to live a life that I must suffer because the system is inadequate. I believe in changing the system. If it doesnt work for 1 it doesnt work.
rebelharvester 1 year ago
@rebelharvester You should get off your ass then and stop being a bum...
Nuclearfright 1 year ago 2
Your whole concept of the virtue of equality is built on a fallacy derived from a phrase you misunderstood in the Declaration. You've integrated this fallacy into your thinking, building a philosophical cathedral on a quagmire. There's only one sense in which equality is a virtue: No man is entitled to partake of the labor of his fellow man--they are not his slaves--without committing himself to serving his fellow man to an EQUAL degree in return. Free markets best determine the value of labor.
grexample 1 year ago 16
on the other hand you are using the declaration as your bible...
rebelharvester 1 year ago
That's a flailing remark. You are the one who presented the Declaration as a bible. I only explained the fundamental absurdity at the core of your interpretation. People can never be equal in a fair world because you can't make people help each other to an equal degree. It's inherently unfair that one man should be more productive--help his fellow man more--and end up with the same standard of living as a man kicking stones around a parking lot all day, every day.

For instance, you might have bigoted notions about American conservatives, in which case you shouldn't yet call me one until you really understand what it means to be conservative in America.
grexample 1 year ago
@grexample My translation has more to do with the UN charter on Human rights than the translation of the Declaration of independence. Unless you consider America to be not only the best country in the world but the only country in the world that does anything right? If that is the message that conservatives are sending to the rest of the world I can understand why the world has a problem with us.
rebelharvester 1 year ago
But that charter's the ultimate cathedral on the very same quagmire you built your philosophy on. You inherited your misunderstanding of equality from Woodrow Wilson, who also misinterpreted the Declaration. This liberal thing goes back to before the League of Nations but Wilson's screw-up was transplanted into the heart of the UN. The UN's just the latest monumental manifestation of the liberal, utopian ego trip and it works as well as a daydream.
grexample 1 year ago
Actually I give the UN way too much credit to say it works as well as a daydream. The UN does incredible harm in the world with the envy and sense of entitlement it promotes. These are incredibly destructive sentiments, far more desctructive than greed for how they disincentivize poorer people from cooperating with and learning from more successful people. Instead, they inspire poorer people to hate more successful people and resist changing their own behavior which keeps them poor.
grexample 1 year ago
But the UN's a fun ego trip as long as you don't think about it too deeply...

I hate this arrogant little pussy-ass government-expanding, Constitution-raping, economy-razing bitch. He's Bush x1,000,000. He's currently in the process of potentially fucking up this country and the economy beyond all reproach by having the government offer us an inferior, exponentially more expensive form of healthcare coverage.

Congressional Democrats need to PROVE that gov't-run health care, managed from top to bottom by Washington, is cheaper, more efficient, and worth saddling the taxpayers with over privately run alternatives.
They haven't provided evidence that socialized care is the best alternative.
If they want to change the current system entirely to one that is arguably the health care equivalent of "food stamps for everybody" then they need to demonstrate the merits of such a drastic, draconian change.
idlepink17 1 year ago
Rasmussen Reports 3/21/10
"Spkr Pelosi has scheduled a House of Reps vote today on the health care reform plan proposed by the Pres. Obama and congressional Democrats. Yet...in Congress there has been months of posturing and shifting of political tactics, voter attitudes have remained constant: A majority oppose the plan being considered by the legislators, [latest poll] taken Fri and Sat nights, shows that 41% of likely voters favor the health care plan. Fifty-four percent (54%) are opposed."

That is objectivity.... using the word o-bot is not objective...som1 might call him an o-bot too
rebelharvester 1 year ago
- @rebelharvester
Oh but accusing someone of being a white supremacist with no evidence of such is objective?
qpwillie 1 year ago
@qpwillie The anti-Obama sentiment was initiated because of the race card. I was highlighting the irony of him using the word o-bot to class an idea by calling him indirectly a white supremacist because of his views about the people who support Obama. To make a sweeping generalization like that is counterproductive. I agree with the fact that we need more dialog, however it was a sort of authoritarian implementation of programs that got America out of the great depression.food for thought...

"Most bad government has grown out of too much government" . -Thomas Jefferson
"Power is not alluring to pure minds." -Thomas Jefferson
qpwillie 1 year ago
@qpwillie I am not saying that the end justifies the means. What I am saying however is that no1knows for sure what will work. Maybe one man's vision might be better than 10's opposition because he had the foresight. Perhaps he knew what the root of the problem was. "It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried." Sir Winston Churchill. When solving problems, dig at the roots instead of just hacking at the leaves. Anthony J. D'Angelo
rebelharvester 1 year ago
