Jr. will never be like Sr. This is something even Jr. knows.

Sure, 2005-2010 weren't Jr's best years, but every driver has slumps, and every driver has bad days.

This year has been pretty good for Jr. Steve is able to keep Jr. in check, and now Jr. can focus on running good races. He'll break his winless streak this year, mark my words. And, I'm sure he could be a contender for the title as well.

@profnines @profnines Good car you say? You do know that the 88 is the old 25 at HMS right? Since 1990, the 25/88 team has won exactly 7 races. Thats 7 in 20 years with Jr himself winning one of those. Also, by placing 12th in points in 2008 it was the highest that the 88/25 car has finished in the points since 1994. To me, the evidence shows that the car/team isn't up to snuff yet.

JR has been taking cars from the back to the front by himself regularly since he won the 2004 Daytona 500. I've seen him previously take on 3 and 4 Hendrick cars and take the lead only to eventually give it back because 1 against 3 doesn't work in drafting. Junior made a good point. He should not have the popularity he has, but because he is Dale fucking Earnhardt, Jr....the son of one of the greatest drivers in history, he gets tons of exposure and popularity. Petty had 7 titles, 200 wins including 7 Daytona 500 trophies. Earnhardt, Sr. had 7 titles, 76 wins. Gordon has 4 titles, 75+ wins. Junior has jack shit. It is undeserving attention because he is an undeserving driver. Start winning, get a championship or two, and then we'll talk.

I personally think he's great. He's a regular guy. Honest, true, hard working. He's gone through a lot in his life, some good some bad, but when he sets his mind to it he tries his best. Something I'm not sure about right now, is Tony Eury Jr. I know their cousins and Jr. likes him as a crew chief, but maybe they should try working separate for while. how do you firgure....????? last year he made the chase and was one of the top 12 drivers. in 2000 he finished 16th in the standings. in 01 he finished 8th in the standings. in 02 he finished 11th in the standings. in 03 he finished 3rd in the standings. in 04 he finished 5th in the standings. in 05 he finished 19th in the standings. in 06 he finished 5th in the standings. 07 he finished 16th and 12th in 08. so how the fuck wouldnt he be able to be GOOD ENOUGH TO RACE IN NASCAR.
