Greenspan was so close to closing that debt. If he didn't get political and give Bush a political tool, we wouldn't be in so much debt today. That's what happens when a Federal reserve chairman gets political.

Clinton reduced spending, lowered the national debt, and our economy kept on improving. When he is in office, our Debt Reduction Act resulted in a lowest deficit $18 billion. No wonder why the Republicans need to lie because they just don't want to admit the truth.

We need to increase taxes!!!! Tax cuts have nothing to do with job growth nor balancing the budget. I wish President Obama had the audacity to tell the RepubliThugs to go FUCK themselves and if you don't want to work with us GO TO HELL. Bill Clinton increased taxes and did not give ANY tax cuts to the middle class, still created over 33 million while Reagan and the Smirking Chimp II created less than 15 million.

Lets lower taxes, increase gov. spending and worry about paying for it later. We can print more money lowering the value of the dollar and then export more. The rest of the world won't like it but as long as they love the dollar they will have to go along with it.

@Delta4ms Or... we could reduce government spending and make it more efficient, and also raise taxes on those that can most afford it. Maybe we could raise taxes for the wealthy but allow for credits for every job they actually create.

If we raise taxes on anyone, be it the middle class or the most productive members of society, it could push us into a 'double-dip.'

Newsflash-the elite have NEVER cared about patriotism or what was best for the country. You and I are no more than parasites to them in the grand scheme of things. The elites are internationally connected. Trilateral Commission, Bilderbergs and Council on Foreign Relations have infested this country and are soon to take it over.

When Congress held the Hearings Alan Greenspan said "We were wrong".Supply side Economics does not work.The Elite have lost there sence of Patriotism and care about one thing only, money.They look for every way to make Laws that go against the people so they can out source,avoid paying there taxes,slave labor and destroying the Enviroment and now hold the American people hostage. Where is your Patriotism to the American People ? Stop buying from China.
