@camouflage81 almost dw8000 has more waveforms, more voices (8instead of 6) is dynamic and has a n fx processor exactly the same sounds than 6000 not but close
man, i really enjoyed this. you're a great player. those sounds take me way back. and that kevin moore patch is spot on. i got one of these as my first synth for my 14th birthday. i totally regret selling it now.
@stealthgear yah, those joysticks are sweet, I especially love it on the poly 800 when you're keytaring it! To bad the dw's were too heavy to be used as a keytar...
I wish mine worked better. A couple of keys don't work right and the display lines are bad. I modified mine to take a standard IEC power cord (it didn't come with a power cord). I like that electric piano sound; it must had taken a lot of work to get that kind of sound out of the pre-sampled waveform.
If only my DW8000 worked right...I need to pull it out one of these days and fix it up. Has a couple of keys in the high registers which don't work quite right and some display lines with bad solder joints.
Thanks to this excellent demo, I've re-discovered what I've been missing since selling my EX8000 (rack version of this synth) a while back (sometimes we do stupid things like that). So yesterday I went and bought a DW8000 for about $200. Great deal, great sound! What's even more amazing is that the original internal lithium battery (CR2032 with soldered legs) for the memory is still good, after 24 YEARS! (my synth was built in July 1985).
I have a dw8000 and I want to get kevin moores leads sounds, do you have a direct link to them? I looked on your site but I couldn't find them anywhere.
I am looking for a cheap synth that will still work well and be versatile. I noticed that the dw8000 is a lot cheaper than say, a korg triton. I was wondering what has drawn you to the dw8000. What advantages and disadvantages does it have? Do you think I should get it?
They can't be connected directly via midi (e403 uses USB) so you'd probably have to connect both to a computer but you can have some latency and synchronicity troubles. After all, if you use "casmedit" and "midi" apps you can get very good sounds from e403 (except electric guitars and a few more but korg has also some poor sounds, like all synths) . Check my e403 demos and tell me what you think about.
There's only a few that caught my ear..But its like youv'e heard these sounds before..All the way back to the 70's..I thought he would show something different or newer..
Kevin, if this really is you, as much as I love Jordan and what he's brought to DT, I really miss your style and sound you brought to DT. Will always remain in my heart!
What kind of amp are you using ?

Omg, its stock sound like it says in description..
This guy earns his money with making music and just does nice chords.. you have the sound in there..
CASES1 1 week ago
@CASES1 I bought my dw8000 with the presets erased. I don't want to reset all my presets just to have an electric piano sound. ¬¬
I know how to read and also how to play.

Yet another synthplayer improving his skills with the use of the left hand dough stick. Nice.

I love the sound of this beast. I own the Korg Digital Legacy Collection, and the Korg M1 contains allmost identical waveforms and programming.
Hell I might even create some patches.

best playing I've seen so far on peeyootube...nice demo of how to use the bender - this is like a class.
I thought I might want this synth, but it sounds pretty dated...I dont mean bad, I just mean I've heard it a lot.
still at the cost I'm seeing it at, its a deal...

Too bad your website isn't accessible.
Kindly let us know which musicians are or what music inspires you.
You already inspired me to use the pitchbend, modulation wheel more often.
Take care and :-) keep it up mate.
