I know what your saying. Not so sure what can be done. The larger elephants I saw at this location were pretty much all being used for work purposes I believe. I suspect the same fate is likely for this guy also. But , they all seemed pretty healthy and well cared for . I didn't see any overt abuse.
Seeing that sweet cute elephant, i was happy. But saddness filled me as upon seeing that chain and thick rope around his leg n neck, at immediate, i knew what kind of a life he is living in. Dis country goverment should really be firm to promote abt freeing, saving and take actions to protect dis magnificent gorgeous big giants.
Its not so hard to understand at all. It is chained to control its movement. Fun has nothing to do with it. The young elephant is in training by his mahout. It is a work animal, not a circus bear. You do understand that these creatures are still in use for work purposes in some parts of the world right ? Perhaps you should better educate yourself on other cultures and work practices before you make silly a criticism of a short video. It is not meant to be a documentary elicarotta.
you can perfectly see that his right front leg doesn't move. where is t fun on trap an animal and do a boring video like this? people should have more fun in learning and improving ways to protect mother nature... or our next generation won't have the pleasure to enjoy them... Is that too hard to understand?
Please boycott Kerala for its dismal animal abuse history. A global campaign has been launched to convince the US State Department also. Behind the beauty of lush green nature, thrives the savage uncivilized barbaric psyche. Says one of the State's best known writers, Paul Zacharia. "Where in the world is the elephant worst treated? The honest and straight answer is Kerala". Kerala also has India's highest suicides, drunkards, sexual perverts, and mentally deranged. Claim to be Civilized!!!
