They log, plant, log, replant. Not very often do you see the single log loads that were common years ago. When you see it now, look at the logs, they are bug kills, or standing dead. But for the most part, loggers thin, instead of clear cut, & when they do, it gets replanted.

most of the forrest fires are in young forrests with lots of brush and shrubs and other small plants which dry out
as forrest get older they are composed of vegetation which is less likely to catch fire.
buy thinning out these forrests or chopping down the old timber completely they increase the liklehood of forrest fires
