Yes you are correct. This was the very first video I created for YouTube more than a year ago when I first bought the recording studio. I knew nothing about mixing then.
Yes, I am using the Phase 45 here, that I built myself from parts. I build almost all the effects I use on my recordings, unless it is a vintage effect from the 60's or 70's that I happen to already own. You can check out my other videos on the Phase 45 and I also have a series on how how to build your own effects pedals.
Thanks! I appreciate it. Yes I will do a demo video later of the AMZ MosFET boost. I had a little problem with it for awhile I repaired it tonight (it was a cheap switch that shorted out). The AMZ booster is all better now and I record a demo maybe tomorrow.
I can't afford a video camera yet -- I spent it all on the AW1600. Will try to borrow one for later.
The 3 effects pedals used on the recording were hand built by me.
The rhythym guitar part uses the neck pickup of the 1975 Electra Super Rock guitar played through the MXR Phase 45 clone and AMZ MOSFET booster. The 1st lead part is the neck pickup through the Umble preamp, and the 2nd lead is both pickups playing through the Umble. These were all direct in to the AW1600 mixer.
Great job on a M.O. song :)

You might consider re-mixing it and normalize the levels on the tracks for a balanced overall output.

Hey I was wondering do you think you could make a phaser that sounds just like the old Maestro?
shinkongo 3 years ago
Sure if you know how to build effects and can find the schematic. I think I have seen one somewhere but I don't recall exactly.

So you're using the Phase 45 here? Did you actually build this one yourself then?
