Aluminum changes phase at a MUCH higher temp than a butane lighter will reach. What you have there is oxidation, where it goes to Al2O3, which doesn't change to a gas phase either. Aluminum foil is relatively pure, at 99.9%. Cans do have a plastic (I believe) coating on the inside and out(along with all the logos and whatnot). Soooo basically aluminum doesn't really get into your system (unless you inhale something fierce, I figure you would feel that shit).
