  • You could take off the plastic(?) ballast from the track and fit a foam underlay? Might make the noise quieter.

  • @tom9ification The plastic ballast cannot be removed. It's all one molded piece. It will be much quieter when scenery is applied to the layout.

  • Maybe you can solve the noise problem with carpet underlay (so you wont slip on carpets...). I use it on my N scale layout, and its perfect :-)

  • Its cool, but put something in the middle, please! A pencil, your hand, a matchbox.... anything to demonstrate, how little is this.

  • Next time, I promise.

  • really awesome but i still reckon n scale is better. you can fit more in and can use it without needing tweezers to operate it

  • How is it you can "fit more in" with a scale that's six times bigger?

  • turnouts and crossovers

  • i think n would be best cause its not too big and not too small my grandad models N i have HO i think N is way better but it realy depends on what u want your layout to be

  • TT Scale is much better than N. You can actually scratchbuild kits without the need to use tweezers and magnifying glasses.
