I disagree monumentaly. Ramones (may they rest in peace) may be as close to gods they possibly can get, but that doesn't change my oppion that this version outranks any Ramones version... What would have been interresting, though, is; what if Ramones could have made a cover of "Slave to the grind"... sadly, that will never happen...

No one can do the Ramones style other than The Ramones, Johnny with his rapid buzzsaw tone carried up by this amazing drum pattern that made punk rock, and of course Joeys vocals, to be played in a station they toned the studio version down a notch and it was mixed by their record company but trust me; in live performances any ramones song will top anything. See: US fest best gig ever.
