The majority of the Mexican population is (genetically) roughly 59% European, 35% Indigenous, and 5% African. The conquistadors killed off a significant portion of the Meso-american population when they first arrived from Europe, so fully native people are in the minority.

During the Second Mexican Empire they had a huge amount of immigrants from all over Europe.
