Yella...I am telling you like it is, you can take it and really understand or get upset and react. @journeyfromthelight First off, pardon my late response and Thank You for the acknowledgement on the complimentary opening you offered. I don't condone more than half of what "we" did back then. As a matter of fact, as you increase in age, you reflect on the bad decisions and try to make amends for them. I don't represent the foolishness of that life anymore; actually never did. I've banded up with brothers, that have done some "wild" things, but I never took to that stuff.

@journeyfromthelight Times have changed immensely. I never cheered for the return of the Ruler Cons. We had lots of dudes back then, who lived to commit senseless crimes and create unnecessary destruction. There were quite a few cats, who were conscious with it.

@journeyfromthelight We protected our neighborhood and also regulated things, to a point, that we controlled, what we wished to. I am not one to blame my one parent home for the things I did. I am never going to say that I am not sorry for things I witnessed or took part in. There was quite a bit, that is regrettable to this day. I saw boys become men - way too fast. I saw men, get taken out by boys, like it did not matter.

@journeyfromthelight I also saw dudes, bring females into the crime structure, instead of teaching them to be responsible 'nettes and queens. It's cool though. As you get older, you learn. I look at these Blood/Crip "Affiliates" in the Tri-State Area and I cannot respect more than 10% of what I see. I see a lot of dudes, that have no heart, are trying to be things, that they are not.

@journeyfromthelight I see people, trying to be hard and make new rules to the game. This is NOT the way. I respect the True Cons, who have stuck with it and continued to try and true, lay out a new form. The movement has not died, just changed face. Guys are no longer wielding hammers, but rather throwing their mind in directions, to put new spins on things. The physical is the last option.

@journeyfromthelight I keep in touch with my brothers in it and know their struggles. I understand your points as well. I've made it a point, not to go that route. I created a new lane for myself and I hope that one day, all of my brothers, will do the same. It's time to rise up, police our own and bring up the new generation - - with a heavy hand and a solid tongue. It's time to educate and to dead those who perpetrate.

You may be from an impoverished neighborhood, but it is no excuse to be bad. Everyone has choices. You have a computer, which you use to access the internet, this would mean that your life is not nearly as bad as you play it up to be. You have opportunities too. If you're ever in NYcity...hit me up!! I'll give you more insight and help you get a better understanding. Likewise, if ever I am in Memph-Town, I'll holla. I don't think you understand NY. It is the largest city in the US. It has the largest
ghetto in the world. It is the hardest city to succeed economically and socially. It has the most people per square mile. It's not country. Mad amounts of people are in a struggle against each other. And trust it has even worse cases than anywhere in the south. NY is just not slow and country. There is a different state of mind...especially in the whole northeast major cities.
