On my weekend job in a shoe shop in Glasgow I went out and bought a 30 watt valve amp and a SG copy after this gig. Still can't play! lol but my boys can!
Take your spandex, your makeup, your flowing locks and all your other "glamor rock" bullshit and shove it where the sun don't shine. This is how you do Rock n Roll. R.I.P. Bon Scott
AMAZING! my second ever live gig (saw this at manchester apollo) 12 months before i saw them at manchester free trade hall, ticket cost £1.75 and there were only about 500 people in! then they blew up big time, bon scott was brilliant!
I was there cant remember much haha. 1978 ROCKED...Great hair, beer.Son was born who took me to see them at Hampden Park Glasgow 30/06/09.Keep on Rocking.
I was there............Joanne Morrow,,,,,,,,,,,Carrie Borland......where are you now......happy days and even happier nights AC/DC still the best Bon Scott will live forever RIP BON!!!! xxxx
God I'm gettin old!-I was there that night-one wee voice in the crowd chanting "Angus"!-Sure miss the old Apollo-even though the balcony that night was bouncing up and down!
@xTheMoneyShotX oh yeh right get ya.. havent heard that version for a long time and no sorry havent seen a vid of it or should i say hear a vid of it..
the best gig of the century. pure rock n roll. excellent sound and amazing performance. everyone who has seen it live is blessed from god or even from lucifer...
i can't believe how few views these videos have got....from what is the greatest live album ever made....guess people just don't know that it was filmed as well as recorded in glasgow 78
was there that night and took photos from where the back camera is filming and the guy holding his hand up with the v sighn could be me as I had a denim jacket with rolled up sleeve..Also met the band and have cracking photos with them.
AC/DC bring any venue too life, Bon was the Man but lets not forget Brian filled a void and did not replace Bon, he never said he would or did. Brian now is the man. God bless Bon Scott. Rock'n'roll never dies
many thanks RAB C , brilliant band , possibly one of the greatest live albums made , was lucky enogh to see them 3 times with bon live , and followed them ever since , always making sure to see them twice on each tour , angus is slowing down a good bit , running around , but christ he stills play some great licks and solos , amazing video from a great band , long may they keep going , fantastic many thanks again rabc
The lucky fans never even relized that they were seeing history !
Bon is the BEST ever ! Bon had the lyrics. The wit. The style. The humour. The irony. The bitterness. This is one of ACDCs better songs, just listen to the lyrics, they have little moments of lyrical brilliance which acdc sadly hasn't had since Bon.
great memories \m/ Angus is one of the reasons I now play guitar. Unfortunately I didnt make it to the Glasgow Apollo until 1983 for Iron maiden. I was 12yrs old.

The Apollo was the ULTIMATE venue - Saw Whitesnake, Quo, Thin Lizzy there in the late 70s - man that place could move...
Never saw ACDC there though - that must have been something else. Kudos for posting this piece of history! Cheers!
