  • its nice seeing the greens truck but why are they using a back loader to pickup the green bins in warringah?

  • That's just how the greens is done at the moment, a lot of councils on the Nothern Beaches and a few in the Eastern Suburbs do it like this.

  • that takes the piss that you can still pack 2-3 tonnes of green waste and i love the cartoons on the side of the truck

  • great video mate! the SULO bin on the left at 1:42 is in my opinion, the best looking bin ever made. five stars and to the favs mate!

  • the plate is right up on this vidio and its still packing it normaly what i normaly find about the phonixs is that no matter how muck you put in the hopper it still packs but it will just stuggle and mumble in the end on the old phonix and new body

  • Yer at this moment the truck was just about o start struggling - it just completes the cycle.

  • that is one of my favouite makes of a dustcart its a phonix body if not its very simerler

  • Down here the brand's Compaction Systems, but yer basically the same as the Phoenix.

  • do you work on the dustcarts if you carried on packing for ever what would have happened

  • Yer I do, when I shouldn't be :D Well these blokes just had the hydraulics fixed up because they blew, prior to this vid. So instead of really starting to pack and put lots of pressure on the hydraulics, they just stopped it there to avoid it blowing again. Usually can just keep squashing it in.

  • phonixs just stugle after a wile if you just keep packing when the ejector is right up it just starts to sruggle packing

  • Actually, I have posted a video called "Getting Full." It shows what happens when this truck starts to pack out... take a look at it (it's my 7th most recent at the moment). Depending on what you pack, it can squeeze a lot in... even when the ejector's up the front, you can still usually pack in a 2-3t if you're doing green-waste.

  • LOL cardboard boxes of greens at 3:00! That's a first! Guess it's decomposable. And this guy is like the definition of a fast moving driver! Doesn't waste any time! Very nice work! Also: what were they talking about in the end?

  • Down here boxes are a tradition with manual greens! lol You're right, decomposable, bulk of it gets composted and the rest screened out. This is a good team you're seeing here - very fast and good reputation with the residents! :D They were discussing whether they wanted to keep packing or not, because the body was full. They just got the truck out of service from the packer hydraulics blowing out - didn't want to put it under more pressure, so just stopped it there.

  • Ahh, would have expected hydraulic problems on that older RL, not this newer one!

  • Just the pressure after a long time - it's bound to happen eventually if you pack heaps.

  • Very nice Mitchell.I saw an old Ford probably a 1965 model car???Those guys certainally get their exercise!!

  • at 2:50 that is the kind of waste we get at the market lots of boxes filled with fruit. i just out a vid of that action up so go have a look m8 its a very juicy 1 2

  • When did start changing the bin lids around?

  • I don't know the exact time, but it was either early or midway last year. Not all have been changed, because some weren't out when the modifcations were made.

  • Great job, these bins look just like the ones here, this is monthly pickup, right?

  • Yep, monthly

  • love it
