It does not matter what your religious affiliations are, Zafar was the last uniting figure. We the people of the subcontinent are today more divided than during the times of Mughals, or Marhatas. Back then Hindu/Muslims were always on both sides(in other words we were Indians first). Let us honor Jhansi ki Rani & Hazrat Mahal by uniting together. Please think what we were & how we were divided & conquered? If we do not unite Britons will be always laughing. Is that what we want?
Creation of a song is no less efforts than downloading it,so more detailed praise of those efforts put in,makes it more worthy. So credit goes to all three- S.N.Tripathi for creating sad tune which goes well with the sad meaning of ghazal,Rafi Saab for putting his heart&soul in rendition and finally Abu Sirajuddin 'Zafar's penning his remarkable masterpiece.
