  • Also N2 reduction should have been an indication of engine damage...and restart should not have been attempted to reduce fire hazard. Am I missing something?

  • 0:09 Nice to see they've apparently developed a hybrid MD-88/A320 cockpit now? And the PF/PNF cadence is never accurate in this show. :/ Ugh.

  • Poor birds.

  • that's amazing piloting skills...omg

  • birds....unable......can't do it

  • I ment please

  • How do you set fsx to land in the water. Plaza respond as soon as possible

  • Best.. Pilot.. Ever..

  • This episode has developed a game in the internet known as 'Hero of the Hudson River'. My, I made several successful landings after a series of unsuccessful ones, hehehehe!!!!

  • PETA reportedly suing sullenburger for mistreatment of birds

  • i'm very happy they made an "air crash investigation" version of this accident, the other cheap version didn't do it for me

  • the captain has a presence of mind.way d go!

  • captain Sullenberger is my faveorite pilot!

  • BIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its 2011 yet planes still go down due to bird strikes..

  • @otto2rk Not true, only BIG group of birds that fly into all of the planes engines could make a plane go down, like what happened in this case.

Small birds don't do damage to engines, and if a big bird hit and destroyed one engine, it could easily fly with the remaining ones :)

  • les pilotes sont tres competent

    the pilot as pro

  • awesome thanks

  • An A320-214

  • that is really sad people dont no how to brace looks like none of them payed any attention to the saftey video or look at the saftey card

  • The pilots are heroes!

  • THIS PLANE IS GOING TO CRASH HARD.

  • how come the plane still had electrical power without turning on APU?

  • @admusic07 he was realy that calm during the flight

  • i remember when this happened and they had to carry the plane and they tried to fit it on my small block in east rutherford

  • 00:24 he says bye aircraft. he's not serious

  • @4500intelx He says "MY aircraft", as in "I'm in control now."

  • @musicmanfelipe

    Yeah...........

He was like, " Im doing the ditching ".

Im no aviation expert, but i can tell you this.

If there was anybody you would have wanted taking control of the plane then nobody would be of better choice! ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!

    Hats of to you Sully.

  • NBA star Vince Carter actually saw the plane go down from his apartment. Not quite what you expect to see when you look out the window..

  • This is why you should learn how to brace :P I memorized it

  • 0.o Just...wow.

  • O_O

I have birthay at January 15.

  • gosh goosebumps all over me!! i was so nervous! the re-enactment feels so real!

    *hope this won't happen again...

  • Lines that hit me:

Captain: "you got any ideas?" -> so calm like they only had a flat tire with a car on the highway

Passenger 1) "be ready at the doors" -> s/he knew his/ her life depended on the folks at the exit

Passenger 2) "we're ready"-> they knew other lives depended on them knowing how to open the door

Fortunately everything turned out into a happy ending :)

  • subscribed :)

  • AHHH NEW EPISODES!

Thank you so much, I have seen every old one, most more than one time.

  • How DO You Get These Epioseds

  • Continued:

That was one fucking hell of an experience! Say does dejavu really exist. And more puzzling yet, Cineflix made a new episode on Flight 1549, the plane that freaking crashed just a few weeks before I used the same flight and watching an episode Air Crash Investigation made while on board!!!!! Is this just a freaking coincidence, or dejavu is freaking real???? I'm both amazed and puzzled!!!!! Why is my life so weird???

  • Ironically, a few days before the disaster, I was taking the exact same flight on Christmas Eve of 2008, to Charlotte, NC. then boarding a USAirways Express flight to Atlanta. On my way to Charlotte, I was watching the same Air Crash Investigation episode "Fatal Distraction" (Eastern Air Line Flight 401) on my iPod touch and simultaneously though to myself about what could happen if this happened to me right now? Later when I saw this on the news I was literally fucking shocked!

  • @1TmanTM

    god, its hard

u kinda have to scavenge for pieces here and there and then put it all together

  • thank u for these vids where in the world did u get them

  • Stupid ACI episode. Its a air crash INVESTIGATION and in this case, there is NOTHING to investigate.. everyone knows about the birdstrike. FAIL EPISODE!!

anyway, thanks for the up though

  • that's it, the hero

  • hmmm.. GE engines? lol... this airbus is fitted with 2xCFM-56 engines .. CFM is co-owned by GE though... technically it's either 2x CFM56 or 2x IAE2500 engines.

  • Amazing. Imagine if the pilots had tried for Teterboro Airport - after all, most pilots probably wouldn't have considered the river. This could have ended very differently. It's remarkable that they were able to keep so calm, let alone execute a water landing like that!

  • Thanks,Ijustflydammit for uploading my favorite aci series ..looking 4ward to new episodes.. :)

  • -an ACI for 9/11 could be cool but there are so many other documentaries on it it ruins the point

GUYS SUBSCRIBE FOR THE NEW COLGAN AIR AND TURKISH AIRWAYS CRASHES

I HAVE THEM ON MY COMP AND WATCHED EM-THEY ARE GREAT

    your welcome mates =DDD

  • @iJustFlyDammit I subscribed, and watched the new episodes. It's an excellent series.

  • @iJustFlyDammit Besides, we know what downed those aircrafts and they weren't accidents.

  • haha, what interesting comments

-poor birds, moment of silence =DD

-it was a great water landing, all you need is for the circumstances to be just right

-what JAL pilot ACCIDENTLY landed in water, with landing gear configured and still no casualties...what how LOL!

-hahaha yes, finally Boeing go suck on that and GREAT pilots

-it was an awfully obvious "investigation", yes, they even said its a different case cuz its already solved basically, just a matter of preventing it in the future

  • THEY DON'T EVEN MENTION THE BIRDS D: RIP

  • flawless splash down!

we need more pilots like these...

and they need to be paid a decent wage!

  • I think the best water landing was JAL flight 2. The pilot mistoke the San fran bay for the runway and landed 2.5 miles from the airport. No injures or deaths. the plane was recovered and returned to JAL

  • Now we know that airbus planes float better than boeing planes

  • they should make Air Crash Investigation 9/11

  • @huntercross14 There's no investigation, everyone knows what happens.

  • They are the best pilots ever! God Bless them! They did an AMAZING job! All of my respect goes to them!

  • I've been waiting for this episode! Thank you sow much iJustFlyDammit! You are so awsome!

  • @tregino

yeah, it was so publicized but thats cuz it happened right in some ppls backyards basically

    thanks, and your welcome

    subscribe for more buddy

  • @griffy1988

I always liked ACI for its mystery, and the efforts of the investigators to find an eluding cause. With a familiar crash like this, it contradicts that for me. We know why it happened and how. We can put together that some bird extermination programs should be used around major airports and so on. After all, ACI should entertain and surprise, not stretch out a birdstrike. However, like you said, it is always nice to see that everyone survived.

  • @maxwellus000123

lol it was in there so i just decided to keep it lololol

    glad u like it buddy

    subscribe for more new episodes

  • WHOA!! THAT TRANSITION FROM THE ENGINE TO THE CONCORDE WAS SOO COOL!!! XD

  • @tregino

yeah we all know what and why it happened

but u gotta admit the actor does look like him

i think sully didnt want any more drama, but the first officer was hungry for more attention lol

  • i say did they really need to remake this one .. we all know the story, the survivors have been all over US chat shows. Sully is a national hero, and having anyone else play the role of sully in the reconstructon is just wrong

    Thumbs Up/Down time peeps

  • @tregino - i agree with you to a certain extent but wouldn't you say that its nice to see an air crash investigation with a good ending and also the pilots being shown in a good light instead of suffering from fatigue or making errors. Yes im sure most people are bored of the story but they done a fantastic job and everyone walked away :-)

  • @griffy1988 yes the points you make are valid ones to which i concede, although i'd rather of had a different episode, (Not sure which one) but the Media and people that care know that he did a tremendous job. and the amount of ' flight 1549' documentaries show it. and at 3:36 the narrator even says by the end of the day they would become the most famous flight crew in history.

@ijustflydammit . i agree with you about 1st officer skiles and thanks for the upload.

  • @cubanangel1985

no problem, i am now working on part three for you guys

subscribe for more new episodes i have in store right now

  • Thanks for upload the video!
