omg i really enjoy watching your trip reports! I also wonder why taiwanese crews always speak in English in a weird accent. I am not saying there's anything wrong to have an accent or what. I am also taiwanese and speak english with accents. I just observed that no matter it's CI or BR, their crews always carry pretentious intonations in the same uniformly way as if it's the corporate rule to make them do so.

@jemdude22 It's bad safety record pattern was broken a while ago. The last recorded incident, to my knowledge, was in 2007. The pattern for China Airlines was an incident or accident for every 2-3 years. Now, it's been almost 5 years...with no major passenger plane incident or accident (at least, the one that made world news). Also, I highly doubt SkyTeam would not have allowed China Air into it's organization without safety improvements. It would look bad for all the airlines in that club.

@peachsnaps25 Nope, China Southern Airlines is a company based in mainland China. China Airlines is a Taiwanese company. However, you should be getting the "same level" of customer service since both companies are part of the Skyteam network.

@FABG3807 sorry I can't reply in Mandarin (my Mandarin is very bad!) but in my opinion, cameras are fine because they are non-transmitting devices unlike mobile phones and gps devices. Else even watches have to be switched off onboard!

we have same tastes.. I love OJ and coffee in a flight.. Singapore sling would be nice too lol. The fish looked really nice. The cabin was pich black at landing nice for filming the landing from the window at night to minmize the light reflections (wish SV would do that lol). Did you park at T1 at SIN? Man.. I miss SIN!! Love the picture effect at the end of the film! Xie Xie (That means thanks right?) :-)

Very nice pics of tiepe like the trendy are looks like times square, and cute models, nice catch! Very strange regarding the aerosols being prohibited even in checked in baggage. how long was the train ride to the airport? Any reason why not chosen Eva Air, I know very little of it and wonder how it is. Out of curiosity why did you opt your seat? was the IFE in AVOD? Was the flight like 60% full? assuming most passengers disembarked at SIN. I liked the tioletry labels in both languages.

@hmasurg heys thanks so much for watching my ideo! the IFE indeed has AVOD. i think most passengers disembarked at SIN though a large minority seems to be heading for Surabaya as well. EVA has really nasty departure timings out of TPE so you have to wake up at 4am to go to the airport so we weren't very keen. I've not heard much about EVA recently too. I am curious as well haha!

Always great news when you upload one of your works of art! Agreed the airport looked charming and the walk way was amazing. Asian airports are the best from what I have visited and I like the holding rooms and well organized two lines for boarding better than other airports in Europe - certinally better than Saudi airports where no priority boarding exists (recently started in JED but no one pays attention to it even the ground airline staff).

i think you should try Firefly ATR-70...SIN-SZB (Kuala Lumpur regional airport)...they use turboprop aircraft...you should try...i've tried before on my way back to my hometown Langkawi...quite interesting...(^_^)

@MrWahid1969 anyone can film any part of a flight if they want to. But most people are too camera shy to try it. As long as your camera/phone is not conneced to roaming wifi or transmiting signals, then go for it!

@LeeClaxton wow thats awesome! i was looking at Park Hotel and it seems its right next to the MRT. Should be fine as the MRT is the convenient way to get around (the local guide told us you can get to anywhere from Taipei Station). Else, taxis are really inexpensive and numerous in Taipei too!

@RvXKaz Gavin you impressed me there..Taiwans other airline China airlines whom you just flown on here with do a B747.400 flight from Amsterdam to Taipei via Bangkok....this flight used to be the cheapest way for many Brits to fly to Bangkok as a connection KLM fare was in with the ticket...sadly i have to say their business class was a total let down on their B747.400..more like a slightly better premium economy seat with a 6 inch arm rest PTV.
