I myself am a hunter, but it ticks me off big time when an archer makes a head shot. I have not seen one animal headshot by an arrow that went down immediately. This was simply a case of poor judgement, and an idiot hunter. I have no problem with headshots on game using a rifle caliber adequate for the game (so long as you have the skill to make a clean headshot with the bullet striking the brain - NOT THE JAW or NOSE).

Hunting is not the worst thing in the world. If you take a clean shot then the animal is down very quickly. And most hunters are out there to hunt not just for the goal of king but for the meat. There is nothing wrong with hunting. Before men domesticated animals, it was the only way to have meat. If you eat meat and you think hunting is killing, then what about the animals that were killed to provide you with the meat you eat?
I do not agree that it is murder. I do not go out hunting with malicious intent to maim & slaughter all in my path. I do so within the boundaries of the law & use all that I harvest; meat/hide/bones. Hunters in my area are major supporters of wildlife conservation. In my opinion it is a process of life, I grew up with it and my children will as well. Ok everyone needs to chill out a bit. yeah the guy filming was laughing like a moron. But the guy shooting clearly states its his first bear with a bow. The adrenaline felt can throw someones aim off and those bear are tough. I'm not an archer, I like my slug throwers. My father is huge into archery and have had 1 hit kills on both his bear but had to track them 100+ yards. I only went bear hunitng once with my shotgun and only heard a bear and got filled with adrenaline.

Hey I just harvested my first bear. Perfect shot. Double lung and even clipped the heart. The bear went 25 yards and piled up dead. No suffering there. That is how it should be done.

Please don't get me wrong. I would never shoot any animal in the head with an arrow, but a bear is even worse. Their skull is too thick to guarantee enough penetration for a humane kill. The chance of just wounding the animal is far to great. Now if I did shoot something and I accidentally hit it in the head, instead of laughing like a jackass I would immediately shoot it again. I am not condoning what these guys did, 99% of hunters would never do something like this!

Im a hunter, and really didnt see the humor in that. I would like to take that bow and crack him in the face with it. Hunting is one thing but that was uncalled for. Even if it was a bad shot he should have quickly finished it with another. He does "not" represent my circle of hunters. Death is part of life, but no reason to laugh and prolong it in pain?

I myself am a hunter, but it ticks me off big time when an archer makes a head shot. I have not seen one animal headshot by an arrow that went down immediately. This was simply a case of poor judgement, and an idiot hunter. I have no problem with headshots on game using a rifle caliber adequate for the game (so long as you have the skill to make a clean headshot with the bullet striking the brain - NOT THE JAW or NOSE).

Hunting is not the worst thing in the world. If you take a clean shot then the animal is down very quickly. And most hunters are out there to hunt not just for the goal of king but for the meat. There is nothing wrong with hunting. Before men domesticated animals, it was the only way to have meat. If you eat meat and you think hunting is killing, then what about the animals that were killed to provide you with the meat you eat?

I do not agree that it is murder. I do not go out hunting with malicious intent to maim & slaughter all in my path. I do so within the boundaries of the law & use all that I harvest; meat/hide/bones. Hunters in my area are major supporters of wildlife conservation. In my opinion it is a process of life, I grew up with it and my children will as well. You may not agree with it & that is your choice. It is your right & privilege to have that choice, just like it is mine to hunt.

Ok everyone needs to chill out a bit. yeah the guy filming was laughing like a moron. But the guy shooting clearly states its his first bear with a bow. The adrenaline felt can throw someones aim off and those bear are tough. I'm not an archer, I like my slug throwers. My father is huge into archery and have had 1 hit kills on both his bear but had to track them 100+ yards. I only went bear hunitng once with my shotgun and only heard a bear and got filled with adrenaline.

"Dominion" is the wrong translation of what the original in the Bible says. A better word is "STEWARDSHIP". "... they shall be STEWARDS over the fish of the sea ..." ---that's how that should be understood . . . ya toothless ignorant morons.
