  • They are actually designed and built in Reno NV, clean sheet new machine. Quite a bit different than a sprite or imp

  • Our District Manager "promised" us a Scout however, later he discovered we owned an "abandoned" DMC 1450 that had been sitting in a company yard unused for 25 years with only 90 hours on it and sweet-talked us into restoring it back to service. So we drive the DeLorean.

  • looks like a rip-off of a Thiokol Imp or Spryte to me.

But, since Thiokol no longer makes snowcats, I'd say it's no big deal.

  • @noelie84 You MUST be an American!?

  • @perki1952 and you MUST have brown hair!?, seeing as we're making irrelevant jumps.

The Scout debuted in the US as the Lite-Foot back in 1996. By that point, the Thiokol Imp and Spryte hadn't been made for 10 years. Not knowing how long the Scout has been for sale in Europe, from my standpoint it looks like it drew its inspiration from an old Thiokol.

  • @noelie84 You obviously know something.... But YOU are not "clairvoyant" ! ):

  • @perki1952 Damn, you must have blonde hair.
