  • I feel sad for the people who cant subscribe. I wonder if i could flag myself as spam...

  • Am I the only one that hears metal spheres being dropped on concrete at the beginning..? yet again another cool sound that came from people with little or no musical experience... sometimes I wonder about the Japanese....

  • dammit king....why did you have to die T^T?!

i swear the doctor will fucking die by his sword in my hand...HE WILL BE AVENGED

  • @MehTheBoy every time after i say that the doctor's just like "yeah right" and i die -_-

  • How you unlock this?

  • Would you mind extending torokos theme? :3

  • @Infernape12341 Can't extend a song that doesn't have a natural loop, sorry. :(

  • @LotDW2007 Oh thats cool. forgot about that song having no loop. >.> Could you maybe extend the Wii version songs?

  • @Infernape12341 If I have time and if they aren't already extended somewhere on YT then sure. I'm in school doing pre-calc and it's taking up most of my time. :(

  • Whoever in a blue moon dislikes this video, you're gonna die, and this theme is going to play.

  • You know what I love?

When the songsd that make up a video game's soundtrack are all heavy remixes of a main theme.

Cave Story is one crowning example.

Kinda a miracle, since all the songs are just different notes smashed together. Daisuke Amiya just selected the ones that sounded good and actually fit the moment.

  • Uh.... Cave Story's soundtrack isn't comprised of "heavily" remixed version of the main theme. Saying something like that would probably offend Pixel, since all of the music make it very apparent that they're all different ( in terms of compositions).

The only game I can think of that has a sound track like the one you described, is super mario world.

  • @TranceCore3 If you listen closely, in most games you can hear that the songs have a lot of reaccurring note patterns. This is very apparrent with the very old Sonic games. Like, in the Emerald Hill 2 Player theme, you can actually hear the iconic "da da da da dum, da" from the SMB theme's intro.

Whether or not it's intentional in most of those games or in Cave Story is the most interesting part.

It my have something to do with the composer's taste or state of mind.

  • None of that means anything when you use such a common note pattern. using your logic is like saying a lot of battle themes are remixes of the Final Fantasy battle theme, because they all use similar bass lines, which happen to be really common bass lines.

  • KING! DONT DIE O-*sees blade, takes and stabs king* SEE YA SUCKA!

  • Does this song even have anything to do with King?!

  • @Maxywaxy60 yes, king's dead... listen carefully when he is about to give you the sword

  • don't you mean "read"? the story line is text based.

  • @TranceCore3 by "listen" i ment listen to this theme in the background while you are reading those text

  • Yes. It's his theme song. it doesn't play anywhere in during the events of the game, but it is officially labled as king's theme. Running hell is Curly's theme, and Toroko's theme is Toroko's theme.

  • @TranceCore3 I thought it played when 'hell' was beaten in under 5 min? (6?)

sounds like something that would make me proud of myself

  • @13gamerbullet 4 i think

  • Seeing as King is with you the rest of the game, (Unless you are dumb enough to trade the blade) I don't see why everyone is so sad.

    Tokoro, though...

  • @alexdz123321 Nemesis > Blade overall.

  • @Maxywaxy60 You are my hero.

  • King? King?! KIIIIIII-

    *Sees blade*

    ohhh...shiny...I want!

King's soul: Wait! Take me with youuuuu!!!

    Huh...I thought I heard something...

    *moves on*

  • This song always makes me sad, and almost crying for a videogame rabbit then makes me feel silly...

Though the description "a videogame rabbit" probably fails him a bit. King is King, and Cave Story is Cave Story. Is awesome.

  • Dammit, why King? D:

  • Perfect for a cave level.

  • One word: EPIC

  • This music felt so awesome when I finally beat the Wii's boss rush mode in under 8 minutes.

  • rasist alert?

  • @chrisall76

Nah, White possibly stands for 'pure' or 'loyal'.

  • Beautiful Song for a beautiful 300 hours of the beautiful game Cave Story. I can listen to this all day AND night.

  • THE PICTURE IS SHRINKING!!!!

  • I don't remember this song o: Awsome.

  • @DDofCourage It was an unlockable on the title screen for beating Hell in under 4 minutes after finding the timer in the Outer Wall.

  • @DDofCourage this song only appears when **SPOILER** king dies, and also when you beat the sanctuary in less than 2 or mins something like that, you'll get the song at the main menu

  • @linkronny King always dies!! No matter what ending you get!

  • @Maxywaxy60 wat about if you get this ending:

*boom* you have died, retry? yes/no

    you have selected no

if that happens before king dies, king will live in that ending :x

  • @linkronny ...Touche. I mean, in the longrun, he will die, but I guess if we're only talking about right when the game ends... You're right.

  • i love 0:40 but my fav is 0:00-9:44

  • king was an awesome character

  • WHY!?! why did king have to die!?! and toroko...

  • i miss king

  • it sounds like a love song if you think about it

  • Great song, couldn't stop listening to it.

  • Yes! :D

  • ty man i love this song

  • @SuperSpike64 No problem. For some reason, WMM wouldn't convert the video into an uploadable file so I kept telling people to just subscribe and wait for it. It was a struggle but it's here! ^_^
