Possible Solution (I realize it has flaws but it is a start): Make movies free but insert ads that are unstoppable like the fbi copyright warning. Most people wouldn't take the time to remove the ads and the risk along with viruses would not be worth it.

The reason ISPs are reluctant to cooperate is because as soon as they start booting their users from the net, it's lost revenue to them. The music industry isn't losing this money, theyre just not getting it in the first place. I confess myself loth to buy albums these days because there's usually only one song of the band that I like, and the rest i find to be shit. I refuse, therefore, to be forced to download music from iTunes because i abhor the agreements with the providers of the services

If i don't know anything about the program or game, and i want to try it before i buy it. Possible Solution (I realize it has flaws but it is a start): Make movies free but insert ads that are unstoppable like the fbi copyright warning. Most people wouldn't take the time to remove the ads and the risk along with viruses would not be worth it.
I would like to know where they are getting their loss numbers, people who are pirating would not have bought the item anyway. I would never try to justify pirating but is it really hurting anybody.

The reason ISPs are reluctant to cooperate is because as soon as they start booting their users from the net, it's lost revenue to them. The music industry isn't losing this money, theyre just not getting it in the first place. I confess myself loth to buy albums these days because there's usually only one song of the band that I like, and the rest i find to be shit. full CD's are tiny compared to what most people download on P2P.
HD movies, latest games, Discographies, etc. etc. download at close to the limit of your bandwidth via p2p with only a single click.

You can download that on Rapidshare too, except it takes longer. Small price to pay to not get caught though. On the Rapidshare its impossible to get caught, EVER lmfao

Sales are up over the last decade. Considerably.
The main reason it hasn't gone up as rapidly as other formats (xbox etc...) is because
a) people are playing MMO's that only get noticed on the sales figures once
b)people are switching over to consoles more than they used too.
c)Lots of third rate games which are not worth buying are being released - 4 times as many releases, same number of good games.
Game piracy on the PC is nothing new, and was going strong 20 years ago.

do not comply if you get a letter or e-mail. it's entrapment. i know people who sent them back and then got sued saying they deleted the file. it's like going and buying a bag of weed. but u don't have a bag of weed on you and u tell a cop (idk y but just a weird example). then he has a right to search u.
as long as your dont release a torrent on the net or a release hacker group ur home wont get searched by the feds.

yeah i will never buy from the major league again for there greedy hunt on customers. i downloaded only the old movies i hav on dvd to hav backups since i dont know how to back them up and have them in ac3 aka 5.1 surround sound / cd - 2 cd size. how can they tell if u already owned that media and just wanted a backup. u can make personal backups. u cant public show it, copy it for profit, rent it w/ out contract like rental stores, etc. cd's dont have that law.

Thanks for this vid :) Good stuff. They make some good points, ISP bouncing does sound like an alternative. I hear Time Warner is sending out the emails and making busts. Im with Verizon and I've been good so far. Encryption obviously. Plus I don't hoard with 100GB DL's a day nor do I upload like a moron so I can easily fly below the radar while still enjoying my favorite weekly tv shows and an occasional movie here and there. Moderation is key. Enjoy the freedom of sharing without abusing it.

Don't worry, they're only gonna go after dumb noobs who use torrents on unprotected systems and upload like idi0ts! Use RS, MU or any of the online storage servers, they have absolutely no right to touch you, especially if you hold premium (paid) accounts. This is because online storage companies have the responsibility to remove copyright material. If you pay for an account and the file is there, you have the right to download it until it's removed. Screw the big, money grabbing fat-cat suits.

The industry complains now, if the general population had the knowledge, skill and balls to do what I'm doing- There would be some serious recession in the movie and music industry. lol. Yeah but you're listing wifi that requires subscriptions. Which can be tracked as well. Free wifi is key though. Public libraries for example :) However you can't get much speed there. lol

@RomanianUser no because true fans of a band will actually go out and buy the artists music, people who are illegally downloading are mostly downloading maybe 3-7 of the artists songs, if they were really a big fan they'd just go to the store to buy their albums. Plus i know a lot of people who do support artists by only buying there produced music, they dont download even though they easily could.
