Yeah, Frank was for me easily the biggest rising talent on electric guitar in the UK in the 80's...astounding ability.The scary thing is his elder brother Baz (r.i.p) was supposed to be better.
I know most of you wont care but back in the late 80`s I witness possibly the cleverest pop guitarist to have ever existed .i perceived and evolution in the guitar a man capable of anything from Holdsworth to Emanuel ,and absolutely believe that he could have been all that and more .but obviously he did want to be .
@MUDSHARK111 Drugs and alcohol messed him up for several years, and when he came out of it, pulled together some great solo records. "Fearless" was a big hit in the US in 1994, but then he faded again... too "deep" for most commercial radio.
Sad... he's one of my fave songwriters to this day...
