  • I love this story. I learned about it when I was studying to become an English teacher, and now I want to use it in class with my students. Would you mind if I used the audio from this video for an activity?

  • Dear Megan and Will,

I'm happy to inform you that my paper was accepted by 2010 Taiwan TESOL Conference. It will be delivered on May 15 in National Formosa University with PowerPoint slides and internet connection to your video.

Thank you for what you have done for me and my students.

  • Congratulations, Yvonne!!!

  • Well, thank you for I quoted you in my paper. I design a 5-step English reading exercise which includes your oral presentation as the first step. Hopefully, this paper is to be delivered on May 15, 2010 if things go smoothly.

  • Thank you. That sounds like quite a complement. Please let us know the outcome of your paper.

  • Why don't we just watch the animation? What are you bringing to the table?

  • You made a very worthwhile observation concerning most things which engage our time. While I can't respond to what Will "brings to the table," I can say that different performers give different performances based upon their unique interpretations and abilities. No two performances are identical or present the material in exactly the same way, and whether a performance gives the audience something to take away from the "table" is a subjective matter. Anyhow, thanks for watching. :-)

  • I'm playing the narrator for this scene (and two others of Thurber's) in my high school's production of "A Thurber Carnival." Nice job!

  • That's grand -- that show is such fun! Thurber is a very witty fellow. Let us hear how it goes. Break a leg!!! ;-)

    ~Megan

  • This is a grate story!!! Your telling of it is XCELLENT! Five stars by me. Plez do more???

*Don't count your boobies until they're hatched* It cracks me up! My girlfriend laughed so hard she almost wet her pants. James Thurber is a narural wit.
