These things are awesome. HPI is a freaking rip off at 1200 bucks. Just like a harley, you pay for the name. BTW Hpi's CY engine is a knock off of the original Zenorah. It's not like hpi's baja is anything new. Besides bay $600 or less for a King motors and buy RPM A-arms and some turtle racing parts. You're still under what a stock hpi costs and you have better parts.

Most people who hate on these are just butt hurt they paid $1200 bucks for something with better plastic a-arms.

i dont think any of you ppl know what your talking about, HPI is only a name (Hobby Parta International) and its nothing great, king motor is also a brand name... Duhh to all you ppl that think they are different they arent, they both sell all of the same things iv bought a hpi 5t for $1500, then i found out at another dealer they have a clone with a bigger engine and better fitted parts from king motor and it was cheaper, from now on im going king motor, all you buy with hpi is the name, Crap

i am not saying the cars are crap i am not but if a american company caster racing can make a truggy and sell it in england for £250 and its equal to anything else if not better on the market , it just shows u... hpi are gready gready gready , if they sold the car for a decwnt price say £500 then there would not be any clones !!!!!! @coopycoopy1 you can buy what you want to as long as you know what you re getting into. when you buy it ( if you have'nt already ) you should check all bolts and screws to make sure theyre tightened correctly, and also check that the diff and shocks have oil in them because they tend to forget to do it. good luck.

thats true... HPI quality is real quality, i U strip servos of clone baja's all gears are plastic, and also, plastic that clone is made is like cheap hong-kong toy... waste of money...buy real HPI one :)

these knock offs are made from lesser grade materials thats why they re cheaper. the weight of the king motor straight out of the box is lighter than the hpi version, the plastic parts tend to snap rather than flex like the hpi equivelents and the aluminium is lighter and bends more easily. do the research and you ll soon see that the difference is more than just a logo. if you buy a clone knowing what it is thats fine but dont try and flog one as an equal to hpi because it is nt

Sorry your right, My HPI baja is better just because it says HPI right? No, its better because I supported the guys who spent the time and money to design and develop a killer RC car. Now when a Chinese company comes along, copies the car to the t, and sells it for $100 bucks less, who misses out? HPI does. Every clone sold is lost business to the guys who innovate and help design better products. Why would you spend time doing something knowing someone else will rip it off?

yes the 5b is very durable they are defenetly worth the money if you get but i wouldnt suggest getting the king motors one simply because its a cheap nock off. If i were you i would get the ss kit so you can assemble it your self and have the enjoyment of knowing you acomplished something as big as this. and odly enough i will be putting up reviews within the next few days of my thoughts on the 5b and what could be improved. hope this helps boss man

well... lets just say, the differential blew doing donuts in the sand.. look a little "bump" when it landed diff stripped.. i got a hold of the supplier, and they sent me a new differential back.. now its running awsome, the only other thing that happened.. is the rear tires, they got bold, and blew =D but then again, look at how i drive the thing.. hahahahaha other than that, great buy! =]

i am getting the king motor because i cant afford a hpi baja , they are only £400 half the price of a hpi and is i do break anything i will just replace it with a hpi part off ebay and when i can afford it upgrade the engine etc ... not all people can afford hpi prices it does not cost a extra £400 just for better plastic and aluminium , i can get a second hand car for £900 and look how much metal and plastic there made of and they last years ... hpi are ripping all u guys off ,
