Almost every German car I've seen has had some silly problem you wouldn't expect coming from a moderately priced car, while their Japanese "cheap" counterpart systems are still operating w/ far less issues.
Supra is cheap quality from Japan, but Porsche is German quality. The modded power by the Supras is the worsest power i ever have seen, an 600 Ps Porsche have the power like an 1300 Ps Supra, and I hate all that people that say: "Supra is much better than Porsche!" I have seen them make 1300 whp+. you don't make that kind of power on a crap engine. They are very reliable, but like anything else, when you up the power reliability goes down, this is true for all makes. The reason for the handling problems is because of the heavy stout engine. Still an excellent car and one of my favorite JDM's ever. And I own a 996 like the one above

The thing about the supra is that theres nothing special about it - except for the extreme look and the great engine. When you sit inside, the appearence is the same as in a 1994 Toyota Carina. Dont missunderstand, i love these cars :D

Nonono, im not a Porsche-fanboy. The Supra is No.1 on my personal "want-to-have-that-car"-list. The interior is very, hm, dont know how to express it. . . It looks as if someone really thought about how to make it driver-oriented. In a 944 you just have the feeling of "man, this is quality", although its ugly as hell, especially the pre-1985 models.
Still, the 944 is a great fun to drive, even if the 2,5L 8v models lack a bit of power.

The gt2rs is a real race car for people who want the full experience - it still has a real gearbox not a video game automatic like the GTR. Imagine if you had to fumble with that on the GTR and what that would do to lap time! This German brand is something more than just mechanics... it means luxury, it means social power (if you will)... but even more, it is HISTORY. There's a lot of history behind Porsche that can't be replaced with only a car.
Well, for one, The 911 has an inherently imbalanced rear-engine layout (though the splendid German engineering quelled many of the problems associated with such layout).. The Porsche performs better on the track AND Drag. And Highway. It has more torque than a Supra.
The Porsche handles better, is faster, brakes better, performs better on the Circuit AND the Drag.
Can also handle 1000 HP crank/ 870 Awhp with the 'Switzer' package- Just bolt-ons, NO engine work at all.
And will still put the power down way better.

You guys are silly. When has Porsche ever done anything but underestimate there performance figures... The gt2rs is a real race car for people who want the full experience - it still has a real gearbox not a video game automatic like the GTR. Imagine if you had to fumble with that on the GTR and what that would do to lap time! It's not that porsche can't do this top performance beast it's that their driver are looking for the real visceral experience. It would take a real driver to lap the ring

Everyone should just enjoy watching fast cars lol. Its the same with motorbikes(which I love even more than cars). Ducati fans and jap fans get so uptight about whats the best bike and why. My favourite is jap bikes because I like the inline four layout myself and the great value for performance, but damn it I would still love a 2006+ Ducati(I don't really like the looks of the previous gens) because I love motorbikes and Im not marrow minded. Come on guys these are BOTH good cars lol

Porsche's and Supra's are really good cars. Definitely don't like a fish tailing rear engine car but they're still good. just wish they didn't look like a VW beetle on steroids lmao. But then again the supra's not a supermodel either, but it's still good looking, especially in black. People on youtube hate things so easily cause someone else seems to really like them. Euro lovers get up tight and then japper fans get as uptight too and it all ends the same an everlasting argument thread lol....

@Nightshade323 Sorry to disappoint you, but that time is not official, it is just something the officials from Porsche claim. The GTR is faster, officially. The GTR is faster even when compared to the Carrera GT, so I can hardly believe that the GT2 can ever beat it using stock specs.

don't know what you are trying to say that, if you know about cars you will know that the gt3rs is a 3.6 N/A porsche= no turbos that will ultimately rape that supra in a track, don't get me wrong, supras are really respectable cars, but your comparison is just plain dumb.... and no, the supra has a good driver... but this supra is on pump not on race gas so it's not pushing the 750 is capable of, were as the lighter porsche is.... thats why the supra lost.... it really show how much you know

No offence, but even if you place a turbine reactor in a Japanese car (any Japanese car) it will never be better than a Porsche. This German brand is something more than just mechanics... it means luxury, it means social power (if you will)... but even more, it is HISTORY. There's a lot of history behind Porsche that can't be replaced with only a car.

Well, for one, The 911 has an inherently imbalanced rear-engine layout (though the splendid German engineering quelled many of the problems associated with such layout).. Also, It costs Much more to mod and work on 911 than a supra.. Finally, as J Clarkson would say, "It's just an overgrown VW beetle" LOL! All kidding aside though, Porsche makes damn fine cars, But they are not the end-all be-all, The competition from cars like the supra and Gt-R make them all better!

Lol, yeah. Clarkson is a bit of a tool isn't he. Don't get me wrong tho, I have great respect for Porsche! Fabulous racing heritage and engineering. And in their relentless pursuit of victory they have spawned a number of challengers (like the supra or gtr) which basically give the people similar performance at half the cost. And because the GtR beat the old 911 turbo, the new 911T will be even FASTER!!! Its a win win!!!!

The Porsche was only on 13psi of boost during this run. This same car, retuned with 22.5psi put down 914 rwhp.......
