CLINT EASTWOOD ALL THE WAY. John Wayne was just an actor, who played the same role every time. Eastwood is an amazing actor, director, producer, and composer. He does just about everything when it comes to movies. He's a genius!
Wonder why people feel compelled to argue about stupid stuff like who's better CE/JW? They are both good actors and each is enjoyable to watch. I'm not one who particularly admires Fords "Cavalry" trilogy and a lot of people don't agree with me. Fine! I'm not trying to convince anyone, I just don't appreciate 'em. I do love "Stagecoach" and I am a BIG fan of the early "B" westerns with Wayne in 'em. I wish I could draw a gun like Canutt taught Wayne to do. Guess I'll have to practice.
Gotta say I think they're both on about par. JW and CE are/were amazing actors in their own right. It's a shame in my opinion that JW was only recognized formally for one movie though. He deserved a lot more than that.
