I say now that the group Kraftwerk has no reason to exist with this name, but it should change. After Flur and Bartos, another serious parting comes to us: that of Florian
@bulletinthewind Coldplay's Chris Martin had to attain permission from Kraftwerk to use this riff in their song Talk... in other words, Coldplay did not come up with this riff.
@Obiwan198 Because he is co-founder of Kraftwerk, the pioneers of electronic music. I made this video because in 2008 he mysteriously left the band, after 38 years of partnership with Kraftwerk leader, Ralf Hutter. And, of course, he is legendary and WILL REMAIN legendary because of the influential music that Kraftwerk made and the big impact it had over many important artists we know today !
I would sit in the heavily German American city of Cincinnati, OH, USA and listen to kraftwerk during my computer electronic class. All the new elcetronic music meant nothing to me
Some Germans there star just as blankly as Mr. Schneider- the German mind is the most distinct of any Europeans. No other race of people could create a band like kraftwerk.
Ralf is suffering from a senile mental disorder. He thinks he is Kraftwerk. Well, we all know there was a time when Kraftwerk existed and Hutter was´nt even in the group. Sick ego´s destroy everything. Kraftwerk is and was : Hutter , Schneider, Bartos and Flur.....( Rother and Dinger were`nt that bad either, were` nt they?!!! Senile Bettflucht is not the answer! Kick out the Style bring back the Jam!
I wished florian would comeback to kw. we love you florian. thanx for being a part of group that was introuduced to me in 1981 in a prodominantly african-american school that played your music when breakdancing was going strong (not to mention I enjoyed watching the guys break dancing) ;) i have love kw's music through the years and have since branched out to other musical generes. we love you florian and you are in our prayers. *virtual hugs to florian & a kiss on the jaw for good luck* :)
Kraftwerk will live forever no matter what - but even though they don't seem to be doing much on stage besides tap their feet occasionally, having only one original member on stage makes Kraftwerk feel more and more like the Blue Man Group with their replaceable performers.
I'm so glad got to see them in 2005 in a really well done concert.
Hi zerg. it was "Computer Love" which KW apart of the1981 album "Computer World" in the US "Computerwelt" in Germany. I think Karl Bartos (1 of the original members no longer with KW) sung this song or it could've been Mr. Schneider.
it is sooooo sad that he had to leave. i actually started to cry, becuase i had a good connection with them becuase i met them i comming out of the Kling-Klang. it is really sad that he just threw away all of these 40 years for nothing. PLEASE reply to this message if you think i am right.
It IS very, very sad that Florian had to leave the band, for whatever reason (which I am still curious about), but he did input an amazing 40 years of musical creativity, which will probably be remembered for decades to come, and long after Kraftwerk has ended. I've heard a few rumors that he might still be making music. We still have yet to see if he is actually working on a solo career or not.
oooh ;((...i've had mistaked always florian schneider with ralf hütter and thaught ralf hütter was he.. for info: i'm 17 and haven't so much occupied with every single member...
It's 1 AM and I'm going to bed. I am sad now, when I saw this video... please Florian come back to Kraftwerk, Kraftwerk is the best band through the world... Kraftwerk is my cultural life...
Why the "?" on the screenshot of Aerodynamik at 8:03 ?
I second this comment. To my knowledge he retired, but I'm not sure, since no one seems to be positive. If he is still doing music, I also would like to see the flute again. The man has some awesome flute playing skills :D
It's really a shame now that Florian left because there really isn't a chance that KW may throw RUCKZUCK back into their set list as a replacement opener for THE MAN MACHINE, LMAO! ; P
Perhaps he is secretly working on a new project with Michael Rother and Karl Bartos! : O
