  • didn't Tony say that it'll take everyone else about 20 years to catch up to his tech? Looks like they really did the research for this movie.

  • "Wow" thanks for the explanation... You re a very wise men.

  • Appreciate your discussion. Thanks :)

  • well, weve already made a device that can control the weather and will probably eventually one day fuck ourselves over with it. so an iron man suit shouldt be too impossible

  • we dont wait on technology to be discorved we create it, its just no one thinks its possible to a certian time instead of us leaping technology advancements like stark we build up to the point when that technology is seen as reality. We have all the resources on earth we need to do it, we just need to use our brain and stop procastinating

  • thiss sucks. if tech know catch up to iron man then how will iron man be cool any more?

  • By the way, I believe a fusion device the size of a few inches is completely possible. This professor is obviously a skeptic of cold fusion. But even the most hardened skeptical physcist conceded the possibility after visiting a univeristy in Iran where they cautiously measured inexplicable temperature anomalies that could not have been chemical in origin(on YouTube). The book Fire From Ice shows how new paradigm shifts meet excessive resistance from scientists - even for initial exploration.

  • I empathize with those skeptical scientists. It's like you know all the parameters of a system, and someone tells you something that is just not possible given the parameters. Think about if no one explained a nuclear reactor to someone in the 1800's(lets pretend he's seen no stars or decay). As far as they know, chemical bond strains can only release a maxium of x energy. To say that a sample can produce 100x energy would appear very ludicrous.

  • Scientists would demand a great deal of evidence including mapped out mechanisms and consistent measurements. What but what if the technology is still unstable and inconsistent? What if no mechanisms can be theorized yet and all we have are curious anomalies. I'll tell you what. Galileo would've bravely dived into the unknown. Leonardo and Newton would've too. Now all we have are a bunch of scientists who are afraid to get their skirts wet when standing at the edge of an ocean of mystery.

  • after this video, the professor proceeded down to the school basement to scream at the TA, "You imbecile! The suits not ready? Tony Stark would've finished it by now!" ... The TA: "WELL, I'M NOT TONY STARK!"

  • i made an arc reactor and its very useful, i use it as a flashlight.

  • let me tell you recent discoveries say that a aposing magnetic fields have a anti gravitic effect so maybe for super speed flight if you and the suit are light not much enercha and the propulsion needed is small now the big problem is the power source im sure we have developed it but the big problem is getting the materrial or the info. and the artificial muscles can be made for sure but there are some things that the millitary know that they wont say know step 1 the enrgy source how its made.

  • @475neo actually g force(which is what causes blood flow changes in pilots) is a measurement of change in velocity {acceleration(inertia)} so assuming your body isnt in direct contact of mach 1 winds while flying (in a suit) you would not feel any g force (blood flow change) until your changed your direction and/or speed.

  • the military probably has a suit even better than the ironman suit

  • i believe that arc reactors the size of tony stark's can be possible. the first ones might be the size of buildings, but computers used to be huge and then look at computers today.

  • I like the IRON MAN suit but prefer the CRYSIS NANOSUIT.

  • Imagine a punch using 1 million horse-power. DAMN!

  • flying is the easyest thing

  • I guess Tonys arc reactor is so powerful that it could even damage his suit if he were to punch extra hard.

but whatever iron man is the shit.

always been my favorite super hero because of the realism.

not that bull shit spiderman feeds us.

  • it means wake up guys

  • Better Living Through Technology

  • we love ironman technology.

  • I have discovered new way to produce electricity from magnetic power And this power source can provide clean energy This invention which name Everlasting Power Can be the solution for all world problems I know it sounds crazy breaking all Laws of motion for Newton but I succeeded in theory using faraday laws Making new device Can make power from nothing. It’s look like the Particle accelerator in the Nuclear reactor Awaiting your kindly reply on seabirdmarine @ gmail dot c o m
  • @seabirdmarine Dude are you joking.

  • @vertJx....dude you don't know what the fuck your saying

  • Is it me or is every AI on a tv show is always very sarcastic like KIT from Night Rider.

My concern is the wirering, if you run that much power it will melt any small wires. lol but maybe in the future we will perfect wireless transfer of electricity just like Tesla did along time ago. he did make it work and it did send electricity to a receiver imagine no wires anymore .

  • The heat would kill Ironman but I don't think he meant it like that. It's more like a cold fusion, even just two atoms at a time fusing would give alot of power and if it was continuous it would be limit less. Cause as we show once activated its on for ever. Maybe the power is regulated by the interval of the atoms coming together the more power he needs the shorter the interval the less power the hight the interv

It could be antimatter as well they miss and when he needs power they collide

  • what about the use of antimatter couldnt that be used to create enough energy for a suit like that if you can contain the antimatter and not cause an annihilation

  • Why dont they build it how it looks in the movie and get it all working and later develop the power source im sure nano tech could come up with something thatll do the job

  • My theory is that you might be able to create a fusion reactor smaller than the one iron man used. By using the natural elements in nature. After all these elements are making technology the size of an atom. A building that stores a little amount of information has come to the size of a little chip by using silicon

  • What if the heat is used as an power

  • im prety shure its already done the government hides everything if we have ufo that flies silently you must need huge power we probably have a suit better than ironman but its hidden our government does not care abought us the president is a figure head full of shit why do they hide thing from us its shit

  • @TheSaltysack Mate... chill!

  • 30-40 Feet high, melt it down to something the size of a hockey puck. We have the technology to melt things... but I can see how long that would take all that liquid couldn't possibly fit into something the size of a hockey puck. But if we could use multiple discs and take just enough to fill the discs would we still get enough horsepower to fly? Or would that ability require all of the liquid in one disc?

  • @vertJx are you high? what are you talking about? or am i just too dumb to even know what the fuck you're talking about?

  • It will not be a long while...this man drastically underestimates the acceleration of the growth of technology .

  • Tonys father made the 30-40 ft high one, tony made it 2-3 inches... so the way i see it

scientists are now making it into an efficent machine, in 10-20 years they will have a 30-40 ft high one and then when im old enough to use this i can make it into the size of a car engine... hopfuly :D

  • @touchsmart0 I made it about 9 inches ;)

  • @guitarsly111 that runs on its own power??? and can power other large objects??? if so then do you mind sending me a copy of its plans

  • @touchsmart0 lol

  • Nobody can make these suits and arc reactors because nobody is as smart as Tony Stark.

  • A very excellent video. In the modern world, the technology that exists is always years ahead of what the general public is aware of. So if you see a powered exoskeleton video on youtube, I bet you there's something even more amazing we just haven't seen yet.

  • In the movie Tony says the suit is made of a gold titanium alloid, but would that even be possible. If so could you cut it and make it into a suit. I want to learn more about the suit and start this as a enormous military project someday. I need to figure out more though.

  • Science fiction - "It takes stuff kind of bubbling along and pushers it along further."

The ironman flying sequences and the hydrogen / nuclear reactor in his chest seem far fetched. But a suit that makes you smarter faster and more agile on land, as was mentioned, could happen..

  • I dont care, imma build one!

  • i don't understand the beginning of the film. How does the initial armour, made in a case, withstand ak47 rounds?

  • This is neat. Thanks for posting this video; I actually thought that Iron Man might not have been able to lift that car, but now it actually makes sense! ;)

  • The first computer took up a warehouse in 1946 now we can put them in are pocket so you cant say it will never happen if you think technology can not be advanced .

  • @STRIKER520 exactly i think we can have this suit as soon as 2030!

  • you are wrong man...anything is possible in this little reality we live in.

  • dream crusher -_-

  • But can the human body take that amount powerfull movement like runing 100 miles in hour and throwing a punch with 300 miles in hour wouldn't the muscles be comepletely broken

  • @navylaks2 WHY WOULD THEY BREAK? THINK OF YOUR BODY RIGHT? ARMS OUTSTRETCHED ETC.. NOW IMAGINE A 1 INCH THICK LAYER OF GOO INSULATION AROUND YOUR BODY AND THEN ON TOP OF THAT SOME COPPER AND TITANIUM POWER ARMOURS,, THEN WHEN YOU PUNCH BLACK PEOPLE STEALING TVS YOUR FIST DOESN'T CONTACT OR COME INTO ANY STRESSES AT ALL, THE SUIT FOLLOWS YOUR NATURAL MOVEMENTS AND ABSORBS ALL BLOWS AND TAZER SHOCKS(IT JUST CHARGES IT BACK UP SO YOU CAN KILL COPS FASTER)

  • This seems credible and something I plan on in my life time. Not sure how I'd do it. But every night I go to bed, I picture my self putting the suit together. I already know I'm going to use titanium steel plating which is threat level 3 rated and can withstand multiple AK-47 rounds. Not sure about flight. Maybe introducing hydrogen and oxygen in a magnetic-vortex plasma generator turbine, or a high powered laser air-exploding turbine. Power source I haven't worked out yet

  • 2:55-3:05 Thats How Computers started out from what I've heard.

The first computer's dimensions were about 8 feet by 3 feet by 100 feet. It weighed about 27 tons, and took up 1800 square feet of space.

and 30 years later they were so small you could fit them in your pocket.

    like calculators for instance.

Cant wait to fly to work in my Ironman suit Ha Ha!

  • all in all if this does indeed become a reality none of us will be alive to see it lol it would be cool to have my own iron man suit tho lol

  • we have a fusion system (laboratory for laser energetics) in development at our school, and the equipments are huge. no way it can happen in that small arc reactor.

  • Fusion is not going to happen in a man portable reactor with that level of utility in the next half of the millennium at least, if it's even possible in the first place. First, we have to actually make fusion produce more energy than it takes to keep it going! Secondly, if that reactor is 99% efficient, and only 1%, or 10000 hp is going to be wasted as heat, Stark would be experiencing what it's like to have a 7million+ watt heating element embedded in his chest; i.e., reduced to ash.

  • The upside is that you don't need that much power to make the suit work, but you'll still need something no one has yet; and if small scale fusion is not your goal, you might actually succeed.

  • Comment removed

  • If you think about it, and if you understand fusion pretty well, it IS in fact possible. Fusion is all about precision and the amount of energy that you can generate. If you can find another way to produce an energy source that generates that amount of energy for cold fusion that is also practical, i'd say your half-way there. P.S. Cold Fusion! You don't want normal fusion to get out of control! I myself have a few ideas for generating energy in that amount which i will not share at this stage.

  • "Nothing is impossible"-Me

  • If you made a fusion reactor that small it would really put out a million horsepower that shit is potent

  • @fordtruckrule Yeah after it blows up. XD

  • in the second movie we see the effects of tony houseing the arc reactor in his chest

  • @1161858 thats only because of in the first moviue the electro magnet was keeping out the poisen the poisen was getting in the arc reactor and was slowly toxicating and killing him

  • that why i like iron man more than any other fiction super hero, because he is more closer to reality.

btw flying is not so hard to do, the power source is the problem also artificial muscles are needed to be developed and some super strong material to be discovered.

  • @panzarw Carbon nanotechnology can help with strength an protection :D

  • @panzarw ive seen this nano tech battery that could be capable of controlling the power needed to operate the suit. Alright this sounds kinda simple but why not making a mini atom smasher and harness the energy created in order to power it. Controlling that much would be extremely hard if even possible.

  • @panzarw Strong material? Look for Graphene

  • @panzarw Power source: yet to be discovered. Artificial muscles: nanofiber. Material: some sort of alloy... maybe titanium aluminum.

hey look! i spelled pam! lol.

  • @panzarw Boron Nitride is a super strong material

  • @panzarw if you fly at supersonic speed

all your blood is gonna fill up in you're feet

  • @panzarw Stan Lee's Superhumans found a guy that could fly. He had a home made set of wings with 4 small jet engines and a throttle to control his speed, but his body controlled his actual flight. Yay for random facts!

  • For now, we can make a basic Iron Man suit that can be integrated for military use. Probably in several years we can pull off a miniature fusion reactor since technology is advancing so quickly. I just wonder if they'll make this suit available to the public, which in the comics, was Tony's original goal.

  • do you speek from the ARC Reactor how they will works?

  • Hey guys sweet Video watch the whole video @ l o c o m o v (dot) c o m

  • Take the red pill

  • i understand fusion but how would we be able to do it? atom smasher is pretty close but how will we be able to harvest that energy

  • its cold fusion cold fusion is harmless to the body

  • @slaryt6 IS IT POSIBLE you think to do the same thing tony did in the movie i mean making the arc reactor and it work like it did in the movie?

  • Why can't a fusion reactor be as small as Iron Man's fusion reactor?

  • its will be real if some people will do anything
