@jlcool007 SOURCE?! Lasers are not illegal in the USA. I own a 200mw Green and a 1.2W Blue. To make them scanning all i have to do is attach a mirror to a motor and shine the laser at it...if you say scanning lasers are illegal? then tell me what they use at grocery stores....fact check before you claim shit.
@jlcool007 Crowd scanning is safe as long as the proper MPE calculations are made and followed. Which in this case they clearly weren't. and it IS legal in the US. One of the easiest ways of doing so is just buying a PASS "Professional Audience Safety System" - google it.
