i made a box for 2 15" L5 it has separate chambers because i only had one 15 at the time.. now i have 2.. if i cut out the divider , would it be louder? the port has a divider in it also.. i cant cut that out...

You made that box all wrong, you could have had a much better and efficient design if you made one giant port for all 4 subs. Instead you made 4 different smaller boxes each containing a different sub and port. Also the sub should have been as far away from the port as possible to get maximum travel distance. Bass matures the farther it travels.
Just something to think about the next time you build a box.
@faceless127 well the reason why i made it like that in different chambers is because i didnt have all the same sub l7 model some where 09s some were 06 and they are diffrent from the back, different woofer displacement, so i thought it woulb be safer with seperated chambers. besides that i agree with you.
ever think about a large SPL vent box? with 4 12s that would work pretty nicely like only 6x6x6 in a 16 or so cube box would be like 32-33 hz? or damn near there

my port is fine, is tuned at 38hz and the reason i blow that old sub is because the new ones can handle longer and higher themal on the coil. they have a really nice venting system. to which the old ones have no venting at all and heat up the coil to much to where it burns. so yeah the new subs dont ever get close to hot!

i have the same setup. and my l7s are dual 4 ohm also. and i wire them to 2 ohm and my amp cuts off when i turn the gain half way. does that happen to you?
goto the kicker website and to be honest with you...you got the right idea with the box these speakers are recommended for ported enclosures they reach lower frequencies and have more SPL with them in a sealed enclosure they will sound better but only go so low.. you also gotta factor in tuning your box according to certain dimensions (should be able to google this) or you can use kickers dimension specs you can goto the kicker website for that

my box was free the only thing i spend was time, all my materials were free. I am working on a new box desing for my 12s right now i will post a video when its done. The reason i got 12's is because before my tahoe a had a small car and it only fit 12's so when i bought my tahoe i just put them on there and kinda got stuck with them. but i am with you bro, i am planning to go 15s in a year or so but not kicker.

my port is fine, is tuned at 38hz and the reason i blow that old sub is because the new ones can handle longer and higher themal on the coil. they have a really nice venting system. to which the old ones have no venting at all and heat up the coil to much to where it burns. so yeah the new subs dont ever get close to hot!

i get paid to make competition as well as everyday bass enclosures. i've played with every design you can think of from t-line to bandpass to isobaric. i also sell kicker to my customers and i have attended their workshop for the product. having said that......your box sucks and it's a poor design. check your feedback, i'm not the only one who's telling you this. you can clearly notice. ...i didnt mean to hurt your feelings about your box. be proud of your shit.....literally.

rookies like you think more is better. first of all that big ass port is taking up all your displacement for your overall volume requirements for a L7. not to mention the magnet and thickness of wood. based on looking at your box its TOO SMALL!!!!! you only make boxes for yourself so you dont have enough experience to realize that if you take 3 of those subs and build the correct size box it will murder your four subs in that awful box you made. your enclosure makes bass not your subs rookie!!!

rookie..lol.. when did i ever say more or bigger is better i said "it's a software tuned box" the box is tuned right for the air space it has now. i never said the box was made to specs because its not. the box does not have the full cu.ft. the subs required its made that way because i have a kid and need space for a stroller while my wife gets a bigger car. new box coming soon. 13 cu.ft tuned at 33 hz. subs up, port back.

i have the same setup. and my l7s are dual 4 ohm also. and i wire them to 2 ohm and my amp cuts off when i turn the gain half way. does that happen to you?

goto the kicker website and to be honest with you...you got the right idea with the box these speakers are recommended for ported enclosures they reach lower frequencies and have more SPL with them in a sealed enclosure they will sound better but only go so low.. you also gotta factor in tuning your box according to certain dimensions (should be able to google this) or you can use kickers dimension specs you can goto the kicker website for that
