As I understand it, having grown up in Ireland and seeing the sectarian violence there, Ronan is deeply spiritual but very critical of religion. I think most of his musical writing reflects that.

It depends upon the choice you make: choosing for concepts imposed by others or choosing your own path with your own morals. I'm not saying the latter is better. Still, personally, I could never go for a different view on life than my own.

Bad things happen every day, indescribable things, but still many of us are still trying to make every day better and help others out in any way we can. It depends on which perspective you use, broad or small.
