  • The original purpose of the polar bears: Polar bears are capable of carrying platters, harvesting carrots & stacking bricks. The original polar bears, along with the original eskimos, lived a manor house/servant or upstairs/downstairs existence. New archaeological evidence I just dug up proves that polar bears lived as migrant laborers in service to eskimos.

  • @YourUTubeMonitor Hahahahhahahahha

  • Is it really the case that alternative systems of genetic chemistry are possible? It may be the case that the familiar system simply follows from the rules of chemistry.

  • anybody else just think 'hairy scrotes' when he mentions 'hairum scariotes' ?

  • @Philosophydebater Peroration, it's a summing up at the end of a speech or in this case a book.

  • The wonders of peer-review & consensus medicine & mercantilism/corporatism have enriched the U.S. w/: 95,000 deaths annually fr. easily-prevented-hospital-borne staph infections, central-bank-printed counterfeit currency, the Dalkon Shield, mercury-preserved serums, chem-trails (aerial obscuration), the irradiation of the Arab World via depleted uranium, the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children under the "oil for food program," automobile air bags and the Americans with Disabilities' Act.

  • @YourUTubeMonitor

    Fuck you.

  • @AdNeeb : Only you can discover your inner woman.

  • @YourUTubeMonitor

LOL. Not just a credulous conspiracy loon, but a clueless sexist dolt as well.

  • @AdNeeb : You are who you are.

  • @YourUTubeMonitor

    Tautological sentence is tautological.

  • "...We civilised men, on the other hand, do our utmost to check the process of elimination; we build asylums for the imbecile, the maimed, and the sick; we institute poor-laws; and our medical men exert their utmost skill to save the life of every one to the last moment...Thus the weak members of civilised societies propagate their kind... [Charles Darwin: "The Descent of Man," 1871 ed. vol. I, p. 168]

  • 11:07 Dawkins was wrong...those "zealous correspondents" don't "forget"...they never even knew that. That's the problem with religious people...they think they have some God-given truth and that makes them think they know everything.

  • really good

  • Hitch portrays himself as enlightened yet he subjects himself to immune-system destroying radiation-sickness. Radio-"therapies" don't check the progression of neoplastic growths. Cancer is a chronic metabolic (vitamin deficiency) disease. No chronic metabolic maladies have ever been cured thru mechanical manipulation of the body. Cancer is of the vast family of noncommunicable ailments: pellagra, pernicious anemia, scurvy, night blindness, beriberi, sickle cell anemia, (and likely) arthritis.

  • Humanists exalt Darwin because he gave "scientific credibility" to the philosophy of materialism. This whole thing is about defending an ideology, much in the same way that Christian apologists defend the corrupted and unrecognizable tragedy that is Christianity today. Interestingly, many Christians exalt the sun (and don't even know it). I guess Christianity has also become materialism. I'm no humanist, but at least the humanists are not walking around in ignorance.

  • not one of his best. I'm a big fan though.

  • I love his fake accent!

  • @Introspective91 How is it fake?

  • dear VitalSign1 .. go to paradise and have a nice time ... and let us find the truth for ourselves !!!

  • @VitalSigns1 well, if this is the case and he pratices what he preaches, i think he'll forgive us.

  • I beg all Christians. PLEASE, throw away your superstition and ignorance FOR ONCE and turn to reality for freedom! PLEASE I just beg you so much PLEASE just read a science book because if you dont you’ll destroy the earth and we dont want that to happen...it makes me cry to know that so many Christians are destroying the world right now. Humans dont want that to happen, but we do want you to COME TO REALITY. Please just do it. Its the only way to avoid the anguish and agony of a religious war!

  • @VitalSigns1 Chillax honey-bun. Don't go worrying about us going to hell, we aren't.

  • @VitalSigns1 If your god didn't want people to burn in hell he wouldn't make them burn in hell.

  • @VitalSigns1 you are.. incredibly ridiculous. i always wonder what it must be like to live in a reality like that. one that you've clearly created for yourself. not without a lot of help from similarly ignorant people. seems to me that in living with that amount of fear, every day of your life, you effectively existi in the only kind of hell that is actually possible. so... good luck with all of that.

  • @VitalSigns1 you better pray to allah for forgiveness mate, or zeus, or shiva, or some other bullshit theity we have to choose from. they are all competing for our attention and i love to play hard to get =)

  • Thank you so much, Richard Dawkins. You have made our lives more meaningful.

  • well ...

love is NOT the word that comes to my mind but rather ADMIRATION !

    Don´t you think ?

    Brgds

    GSO

  • @Mr88playmaker

If you buy his book "The God Delusion" you would know Einstein was an Atheist.

  • @Rayzkevin

he was a deist i believe

  • @KenEdMurray

you used 45 E's I automaticly discount posts after 44. sorry.

  • Another great vid, Richard is pure awesomeness. Thanks for uploading it!

  • god I love him!

  • lol

  • In a similar way that gravity draw mass into round'ish' shapes, so too does evolution draw life, into certain shapes.

  • Say what?!

  • @Aaberg123

    Forces...

Gravity is a force that acts on mater, while evolution is a force that acts on life. Both drive certain things, into certain shapes.

  • I wouldn't compare a relatively (at least on an observable level) simple force of gravity with the process of evolution.

No shapes are predetermined in evolution, only those that helps the group survive. Gravity forms spheres, the same principle cannot be applied to evolution. Just look at the diversity of life.

  • @Aaberg123

Of coarse, I'm not arguing that gravity is on the same level as evolution.

Also, it very much depends on what is meant by shape, since shape could also be, the distribution of elements, and convection currents/cycles.

So gravity can also set up some complicated processes.

  • Now you're changing your argument quite a bit.

Taking the vast diversity of manifestations of life into consideration, what shapes does "evolution draw it into"? Lose the "certain" and I can agree." Certain" implies predetermination.

Didn't mean to be this pedantic, but what the heck.

  • "Now you're changing your argument quite a bit."

Clarifying what I intended for it to be interpreted as.

    "Lose the "certain""

I wasn't using the word certain in the way you assumed.

Certain structures wouldn't work, and certain structures would. I was restricting the applications of the statement, not declaring some intelligent design.
