Not only am i going to do that but i will start helping the poor myself, getting out there, doing the dirty work that Jesus calls us to do. Just like Ehud did in Judges3
Im brazilian, and im learning english. I understand your message; im believer too and I think as you think. count on me to pray and to spread the same feeling. Your message arrived here in small city in Brazil.
It is the same way I've felt since I became a Christian. Maybe not their philosophies, but heck with gay marriage, support those who need it, who are in poverty, both in America and in other parts of the world.
It was the message of the ELCA Youth Gathering this year. They had Tony Campolo and Jim Wallis there, it just seemed to come from their messages a lot.
Thanks Yanks. I agree with you, but I also believe that we're making some serious headway. One of the most exciting things I'm seeing in the church these days is the emerging social conscience of the younger generation. I see a big shift in focus from internal, program driven efforts to more acts of outward service, compassion and social justice.
Thanks rivkeh and lisaanne for the encouragement. I'd like to do these more frequently than I have, although the amount of work that goes into them and time that is consumed producing them seems to dictate their relative infrequency. But I certainly will try to put something new up more often than once a month.
You have a strong social conscience. A very poignant and moving video. You liked my choice of song, I love that you included a pic. of Bono, a great humanitarian. Gob Bless! :o)

Ah, I see. While I wasn't at the conference, I read alot of Jim Wallis' stuff and others from Sojourners, so there's no doubt a common influence.
What did you take away from the ELCA Gathering?

was the video inspired by cruzando?

I've never heard of Cruzando, so no. What is it?

thanks for the great words...it's unfortunate, even tragic, that other (mainly american) christians don't care more about this stuff...
