Mr. DrLemur: It sounds yummy, I will have to try a twisler. Here in Texas we drink are dinner. :-) I don't eat much sweet, except perhaps some peanut M&Ms. For dessert I prefer port or a sweet dessert wine. Nice video! Cordially, GlobeBar
Congratulations on getting covered on Fox News television! That's so awesome.
Here's the key quote from the story:
Dr. Lemur ("Dan"): "Death . . . to . . . America . . . the . . . great . . . Satan . . . racist . . . idiots . . . send . . . me . . . to . . . Iraq . . . bloody . . . boxcutters."
I think the reporter added things in the editing process, but they always do that. I'll probably have to watch the BBC to get a clearer picture of what your video was actually about.
A fair point.. but I don't need most of them to send me confectionary.. that would be mental.. I'd be sorting through it all day. I just need one little Iraqi.. Maybe a maverick. Going against the grain.. sticking it to the man.. you tube style :)
They're shaped like a Twinkie or a Funny Bone, yellow cake, cream filling, outside layer is rasperry stuff and lightly covered in coconut. Go to dollymadison(dot)com and you'll see a pic of them on the splash page. I could eat a whole box of them in one sitting.
Daniel having a food orgasm? Are you saying American girls have a weight loss problem? LOL. Heidi you're so rude. What the hell do you like? Daniel you make your sister and I laugh so hard. I could send you something from Canada. It's like Africans having no internet and candies.
i never heard of funny bones myself i've heard of a candy called crazy bones i do believe they were little hard candies shaped like dog bones.they tasted like tart candies.twizzlers were never anything i liked.i think iraq candy would be interesting.i hear the chocolate scorpion is great.
LOL poor Iraq! I've actually had someone watch my videos from Iran! I can't remember which one it was, but YouTube Insight never lies, right?
What about Russian candy? Dried strips of Calamari, anyone? I've been to Russia, and for some reason, that's the only snack food that I really can remember for some reason!
The brother-sister comedy is as entertaining as ever! : P I'm sure that whoever is from Iraq will take into account that these shenanigans are coming from siblings and "strike" whatever needs to be. The Twizzlers: I don't have any interest in them anymore, but as a child, I LOVED biting the ends off and using them as straws. And the peanut butter and chocolate together thing: Oh, HECK YEAH!! Especially if it's from Reeses... Mmmm! Well, loved watching ya. Keep 'em coming! ; )
I've never liked Twizzlers, I prefer Red Vines (true red licorice). Ever had Red Vines? I have no idea where someone can find Funny Bones, but they sound good.
I'm not sure I'll like them - peanut butter stuff is hit or miss with me. LOVE Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! Other peanutty stuff, pffft. Where the hell do we find these Funny Bones things? So many people on here saying they've never heard of them - must be a regional thing, maybe sold in only a few states.
Huge fan of reese's PBC's here too :) Lumes gets these funny bones in NY so maybe it is only certain parts of your country that have them. Worth buying if you see em in my opinion :)
Hey, I did some looking into the American Tim Tams. They're available for a limited time at only one store chain (a national chain with many stores, so anyone can find them). For some reason, they're being sold only until Feb 09. I wonder what that's all about. Also learned they were sold here seven years ago for a short time. I plan on getting some since I've always wanted to try them. Now, if I could only find some Milo around here!
I bought the American Tim Tams today and they were very tasty.I wondered the aisles of 3 different stores lookind for Funny Bones...no luck. Yes...go ahead and say it Michelle...I'm a pathetic sheep !! All someone has to do is make a video raving about something and I'm out the door looking for it. ( except for Ian's videos )That would get me in trouble. :)
ahaha I can't call you pathetic, I have every intention of heading to Target for some Tim Tams! And I looked on the Internet for where to get Funny Bones. Seems since it's a regional product, folks like you and me have to order them online. You better not go out the door looking for the things Ian raves about...pot, mushrooms, suns made of salt water, etc. so on and so forth.
Ha ha nooooo.. I wasn't promoting them.. now I'm going to be accused of online product promotion.. on the other hand.. if the tim tams fellahs want to send me some free biscuits in thanks for the extra few customers they are quite welcome to do that.. under the table.. :)
lol that's where you got them because that's the only place selling them. I searched the Internet on where to find them and read a press release that said only at Target and only until February.
As a huge licorice fan, I dislike Twizzlers very much - it's like munching on flavorless wax. Red Vines rock! But since Dan wanted to know what they were like, it's good he got to find out. Many people love them, I'm just not one of them. I love Red Vines so much friends and family give me buckets of them at birthdays and Christmas - it's an addiction.
I'm not really addicted to sweets - just Red Vines and Milk Duds, occasionally some dark chocolate, but other than that, I'm not a sweets person. I'd love to send him some, as well as the Zingers he asked about. If we keep this up, we'll have Daniel either turned into a mighty overweight person or a diabetic!
I vote part 3 as the best. Train wrecks like this are funny. :) Good luck soliciting candy from Iraq. Maybe you could also ask for some from Pakistan.
I doubt you have any viewers from Iraq. It's a pretty small population. The chances are kinda slim. I'm sure there are plenty from other countries, though... Mexico, maybe? Brazil? The Netherlands? Just some ideas.
Hello illuminatta!! I figured i'd answer you before dan puts any other words here which he will when he reads this. .lol I think i know why he asks me in his video's now-and i'll tell ya it's not to promote me. . >LOL

Peanut M&M's are class. I am partial to a snifter of port myself too now and then. :)

I'm so glad you liked them!! I do, too!
Illuminatta 3 years ago
Twizzlers = licorice
Except they're kinda waxy. Not the best stuff.
Do you guys think those cakes were too sugary?
wackyMacky801 3 years ago
Nope.. but then I'm a big fan of sugar.. takes a really dark and rich cake for me to draw the line..
DrLemur 3 years ago
It sounded like the first one was a religious experience for ya Dan. :)
IAGuy06 3 years ago
Oh.. and I was going to send you a crate of Reese's Peanut butter cups cause I thought they were your favorites but now I don't know.(?)
IAGuy06 3 years ago
Hmm it's a tough call between those two.. Don't make me choose!
DrLemur 3 years ago
Well it was either that or closely bordering on a sexual experience. I can't decide which.
DrLemur 3 years ago
"We respect your beliefs and your candy."
LMAO. xD
What the hell was that?! hahahaha Oh man. I needed a good laugh too.

I love these candy sampling videos. They're truly epic!

we used to have milo here in Mexico along time ago...I never had it though or maybe I did.
But I remember a commercial of a kid playing soccer and drinking milo (I'm talking about 10 years ago). It all seems so blurry now.
BTW, keep up the great work...I enjoy watching these kinds of videos, they are very entertaining :)

I would imagine that most Iraqis are more concerned with avoiding being blown up than sending confectionary to Australians on YouTube.

They sound great. I love colored licorice.
DrLemur 3 years ago
Never heard of Red Vines? We need to fix that! In my opinion, they ROCK over Twizzlers. The best red licorice made!
Michelle5451 3 years ago
Yeah, Twizzlers are okay...but Dan had inquired about them. That's why I sent them. I'm not big on any licorices, really. :)
