I wouldn't say they're evil; I'd say they're willfully manipulated, and that they like to be ignorant about the facts (Why do Evangelicals hate Stem Cell Research? Vaccines? the fact that homosexuality isn't a choice? Evolutionary Biology...?) and insist that everyone be as ignorant and prejudiced as they are. The term fundamentalist is the only term that I could come up with that would describe someone who is narrow minded, and marginalizes others because they don't believe the same things they do. Many of the responses to this video tell me that there are Fundamentalists (Religious and non-Religious) on both side of the ideological fence. Both sides tout an 'all or nothing' attitude that seeks to intimidate and insult those who disagree with them. Both groups think in very "us vs. them' attitudes. Both think egocentrically. I fear that if religious or atheistic fundamentalists were to come in power they would want to establish a totalitarian government.
