No point to this arc whatsoever! We didn't see the six-tails used by Utakata; Naruto never knew he was the six tails. The girl was worse than Gaara's student from filler (I can stomach her). I was actually expecting this filler to end dramatically, Pein gets rid of everyone just to grab Utakata while Naruto's off in his own little world thinking everything's fun with the people he just left.
The filler arc is over. Today's episode 151 was the last, and as a result, it was actually lame uninteresting and ending badly.
There's no big final fight against Shiranami, his minions were nothing, and Utakata, just after accepting to be Hotaru's master, ends captured by Pain.
And I though this filler arc served as the origin of the Jutsu Pain uses to eradicate Konoha and he'd steal it there, but no the anime producers were not as brillant as Kishimoto. And just what was the Rokubi for?

I completely agree with gloriesrain these filler bijuu/host arcs gives us insight to the other hosts lifes. I mean what the point of have 10 different bijuu and 9 hosts with out knowing a few. Same here! The fillers give other characters who have rather lower air time to shine. Even Sai didn't get a full fight yet, we haven't seen him 1v1 anyone, and characters like Shino or Tenten get to show off their moves because they will definitely be lacking in the future. Personally, I wish Ino, Tenten, Choji, and Shino would have their own fights (Choji had one and the hype died instantly after that). But yeah the fillers are great also in that nobody knows what's going to happen next =D

fillers are anime episodes that have no relevance / influence to the main plot. Which means "filler" episodes in anime are never shown in the comic and not written by the author.
Episodes like "revealing Kakashi's mask" or the entire arc in Konoha between Sasuke's defection and Naruto's departure are all fillers
It is obvious they are milking the series while it is still popular because they know eventually Naruto's popularity will die off. They know that the pain fight is the climax of the series so far. They are going to keep us waiting for a while for Pain Vs. Naruto. I am anticipating probably the next 6 months of fillers before Naruto even officially finds out that Jiraiya is dead.
Agreed, the Naruto manga sucks now with lots of stupid Sharingan techniques, numerous Sasuke plot shields and trollin' fights like Kisame vs Bee and Ao vs Fuu
Naruto had over 100 fillers, yet currently, the manga is 60 chapters (20 to 30 episodes) ahead of the anime. It's not that far. The anime can catch up anytime it wants. You guys overexaggerate too much. Pokemon has more fillers than Naruto, you don't see the fans complaining.

I've seen (almost) all the fillers before Shippuden started, and they were quite entertaining. They had humor, other land in the ninja world, and they involved all the characters. There are some filler arcs that SHOULD'VE been canon like the Land of Tea, Orochimaru's hideout search, Beatle Hunt, Return of Mizuki, Curry of Life, Sea Country, and last filler arc with Gaara. How were those arcs NOT important?
migueldELLO is right. Let's do the math. First of all an average (boring) episode contains 2 chapters. What would happen if the Sanbi arc didn't exist? The Sanbi arc is 20 episodes. 20x2=40 manga chapters. Up to the current event in the anime: 415+40= chapter 455. If the Sanbi arc didn't exist, the anime would've been at the Kage Summit arc (10 episodes apart); that's WAAAYYYY too close to the manga. Therefore, fillers are necessary. Like it or don't. I'm not complaining.
Considering how the Rokubi was captured by Akatsuki, we might actually see some Akatsuki in this arc, but all the Akatsuki that is left there is Pain, Conan, Taka, Madara, and Zetsu (in the anime that is), I wonder who it will be? Hopefully they don't make a completely random group of people that are 'working' with Akatsuki and will give them Utakata when they capture them.. Oh god I bet that is what is going to happen...
I remember what Pain said after the sealing of the Nibi, there are 4 more Bijus left. Those four where the Sanbi, Yonbi, Hachibi, and Kyubi. I hope that they do a Gaiden with Han and Fuu to see which Akatsuki members captured them and if what Deidara said about them being outcast where true.
meh dont mind the filler as long as it relates to the story in some way...like the last filler which was basically about a mother son dynamic building up was crap. But this looks promising. its about the tailed beasts so im looking forward to it.

guys this filler is necessary cause naruto is way to close to the manga ,way to close. If it catches up to it we will have to wait 3 weeks for a episode.You guys keep forgetting that 3-4 manga chapters counts as one episode and the manga is only 63 chapters ahead that's 20 episodes ahead and since they only release 1 chapter per week while they release one episode per week (basically 3-4 manga chapters ) it will catch up like crazy to the point we will have to wait 3 week for a episode

I'm guessing (or hoping) that this will be a pretty short arc. Since Naruto's wearing his 8-man squad cloak, this will probably happen on their way back to the village, preventing any plot mess-ups, and I'm guessing they're going to fight Kisame.

fillers are anime episodes that have no relevance / influence to the main plot. Which means "filler" episodes in anime are never shown in the comic and not written by the author.
Episodes like "revealing Kakashi's mask" or the entire arc in Konoha between Sasuke's defection and Naruto's departure are all fillers

It is obvious they are milking the series while it is still popular because they know eventually Naruto's popularity will die off. They know that the pain fight is the climax of the series so far. They are going to keep us waiting for a while for Pain Vs. Naruto. I am anticipating probably the next 6 months of fillers before Naruto even officially finds out that Jiraiya is dead.

Naruto had over 100 fillers, yet currently, the manga is 60 chapters (20 to 30 episodes) ahead of the anime. It's not that far. The anime can catch up anytime it wants. You guys overexaggerate too much. Pokemon has more fillers than Naruto, you don't see the fans complaining.

@goodvillain101 actually the manga is about 70+ chapters ahead of the anime. Obviously everyone is upset because we are all dieing to see the Pain arch. I personally don't mind fillers as long as they are good. The problem is Naruto fillers so far have been less then spectacular.

I've seen (almost) all the fillers before Shippuden started, and they were quite entertaining. They had humor, other land in the ninja world, and they involved all the characters. There are some filler arcs that SHOULD'VE been canon like the Land of Tea, Orochimaru's hideout search, Beatle Hunt, Return of Mizuki, Curry of Life, Sea Country, and last filler arc with Gaara. How were those arcs NOT important?

migueldELLO is right. Let's do the math. First of all an average (boring) episode contains 2 chapters. What would happen if the Sanbi arc didn't exist? The Sanbi arc is 20 episodes. 20x2=40 manga chapters. Up to the current event in the anime: 415+40= chapter 455. If the Sanbi arc didn't exist, the anime would've been at the Kage Summit arc (10 episodes apart); that's WAAAYYYY too close to the manga. Therefore, fillers are necessary. Like it or don't. I'm not complaining.

Considering how the Rokubi was captured by Akatsuki, we might actually see some Akatsuki in this arc, but all the Akatsuki that is left there is Pain, Conan, Taka, Madara, and Zetsu (in the anime that is), I wonder who it will be? Hopefully they don't make a completely random group of people that are 'working' with Akatsuki and will give them Utakata when they capture them.. Oh god I bet that is what is going to happen...

I remember what Pain said after the sealing of the Nibi, there are 4 more Bijus left. Those four where the Sanbi, Yonbi, Hachibi, and Kyubi. I hope that they do a Gaiden with Han and Fuu to see which Akatsuki members captured them and if what Deidara said about them being outcast where true.

guys this filler is necessary cause naruto is way to close to the manga ,way to close. If it catches up to it we will have to wait 3 weeks for a episode.You guys keep forgetting that 3-4 manga chapters counts as one episode and the manga is only 63 chapters ahead that's 20 episodes ahead and since they only release 1 chapter per week while they release one episode per week (basically 3-4 manga chapters ) it will catch up like crazy to the point we will have to wait 3 week for a episode

I'm guessing (or hoping) that this will be a pretty short arc. Since Naruto's wearing his 8-man squad cloak, this will probably happen on their way back to the village, preventing any plot mess-ups, and I'm guessing they're going to fight Kisame.
