Great song from a band that sadly doesn't get much mention. What happened to music? When I was growing up we had stuff like this around and now we have corporate manufactured boy bands performing to teenage girls in shopping malls.
@hippygirlof74 There's always been stuff like this and there's always been boy bands performing to teenage girls in shopping malls. Just look harder ;)
It's a brilliant song about the self-made hell of addiction; Buffy St. Marie really captured the agony in this song. I like it no matter who performs it- I like it by Buffy, I like by the Charlatans, I like it by Donovan.

The war footage adds to the overall cheerful theme.

@ChrisYonts Doesn't it just? Cigarettes, coffee and this - the perfect combination for a lazy afternoon after a long day spent behind the wheel...

Great song. Not sure what the visuals have to do with the song.

Absolute brilliance. I love The Charlatans and this song IS their best (this and The Shadow Knows). They don't make great tunes like this anymore.

I'm fourteen, and even having missed the decade by quite a while, this video serves as a reminder of how real it all was. Great job.
