Love this Lefty song. First heard it on The Band's first album but Lefty can't be touched (at least, like Gram Parsons who made that album with the Byrds, the Band's country rock led me back to true country music, which gets me down deep).
Fantastic version. Your voice sounds so real, authentic with your experience.
Curtis Thank you. The man that taught me this song, was like my second dad. His name was Leon Lindsey he passed in 1998 but he was the one that got me playing fiddle. He played fiddle for Lefty back in the 50's. I have many of great stories that he shared with me about him, the band and Lefty.
Wow, now that really is impressive. Almost like knowing someone who played with Hank. Share some of those stories with us country lovers one day won't you?
Thanks, just put up an up coming events,,,,and dang, I will be going and getting a new webcam very shortly....need to get the best quality that I can, keeps cutting me off short. LOL. Thank you for listening. I sure do enjoy your music as well.
Great song. The cold suits your voice (bit of gravel is ideal for this number). You got it 'right Who you know...whoy'know...HOOYANOE: It's not what ya know, it's....You've got emotion in your voice and you've got music in your veins. Everything you put out is good.*****
